I think it is ironic that :-
1. Irony has nothing to do with iron .
and
2. The closer I get to breaking the Bessler conundrum the more I realise that it will not be anywhere even close to solving any of the environmental problems we seem to have produced or inherited from the concerted effort of our human ancestors (which in the main I think was intended to improve their and our environment).
It appears to me that over the last 20 years my "unbiased" look at the results of the current generation's progress indicate that one of the last things that would be constructive would be more energy use regardless of the source of that energy.
Like a nest of ants , in a mindless repetitive way , collectively the human race seems to keep doing what it has always done regardless of the consequences to its environment and everything in it .
Like the ant in the ant colony , everything in its environment is to be used for short term use (food , building material ,survival ) to produce more ants to continue the onslaught.
With all our rhetoric about being above nature etc , the results when examined over human generations are no different than that produced by the "mentality "of the ant colony .

Ironic and depressing !
I have just been through a period of observing the devastation caused by the wildfires that occured in Australia over the past few months . Approximately 10 million acres of bush (in NSW alone this season so far ) and practically every living thing incinerated and yielded to the atmospheric load of CO2 to further increase the temperature and release of more CO2 and Methane "pollutants" to exacerbate the problems . PM pollution - more begats more ! .
( Not limited to Australia either . Same thing is , and has happened , in South America . Indonesia , Siberia and South Africa etc . )
This apparently is the new norm ! All because of 1 degree average rise in global temperature ! ?
Either that or the Devil has us by the goolies and is twisting !
Meanwhile our leaders (American , Australian , Brazilian ) don't seem to know or care !
Who votes them in ?
Do the voters know or care that approx (at a very rough conservative estimate ) 3 Billion animals (each one with a characteristic arguably as endearing as that possessed by most humans ) have perished (either incinerated or starved) over the past 6 months in wildfires ? , that every tree and plant that has been burned (one has difficulty even making a rough estimate here but it would have to be in the trillions) , is no longer absorbing CO2 in the way they have become adapted to before Homo Sapiens arrived to skew the balance . That unabsorbed CO2 ( that these plants would have taken out of the atmosphere ) can now assist the rise of global temperature and the release of the trillions of tonnes of Methane Clatherats sitting in the oceans waiting for their turn to magnify the temperature rise.
And here's the irony part , one would expect that the people we elect to lead us in a "democratic society" would have access to this information from their Scientific Experts and act accordingly to do something that might be considered "constructive" to stave off the the final outcome and not reenact the Easter Island saga.
Without a healthy Biosphere the human race cannot "prosper" or survive IMO . The leaders of the human race do not seem to know this .
I think that is Ironic . Without the human race , who are they going to lead ?

And how many arsonists have been arrested?
. I can assure the reader that there is something special behind the stork's bills.

Most of the time there's no added functionality or so-called 'rich' experience over 'ancient' techniques.
Still all those extra Gb's in transfer and local javascript calculus add to energy consumption and heat generation.
The excuse to fight:
It's done because it can be done, and much easier and 'cheaper' than before: "Everyone benefits, thus why not?"

Only about 1 per cent of the land burnt in NSW this bushfire season can be officially attributed to arson...
