Looks great, better rush another patent application!

re: Crazy as can be wheel concept
Why advise the obvious.
It’s already done, just in case nobody has shown this before.
My wheel works are open to the public.
Does it hurt anybody if I claim my work as mine, even if my works are just a load of rubbish.
Justsomeone,
I do sincerely thank you for the interest you take on my postings.
It’s nice to hear from you.

re: Crazy as can be wheel concept
Raj, what I do like about you is that your mind is always turning, always looking for a creative way to solve this riddle. I am not sure though who is more overly optimistic about your own designs, you or Trevor. But if that optimism keeps your mind turning, then so be it. Good luck but I will still call them as I see them. 😊

Hi Raj
Here is my take on the torque:
Red is bad
orange is not worth torquing about:)
Green is good
Purple is not doing anything, not even weighing that side of the wheel down, so is bad.
so not worth calculating.

I am at a loss how to respond to your comments.
Do I take them as insults or praises.
THEY are certainly not helpful, but more hurtful.

A big THANKS , Tarsier79,
1. You have, inadvertently, put the colours of the MAURITIAN flag on my drawing.
2. You have understood 50% of my drawing without my explanation.
3. ON WHICH wheel are the torques by each weight acting?
4 . There is only one axle in this concept drawing, ON which wheel is this one axle?
5. Calculation of torques by separate weights, in this concept drawing, is really easy. Which wheel of the two wheels in this drawing, have your coloured segments been calculated on?
Seriously, I do appreciate your interest on my thread.
Raj

re: Crazy as can be wheel concept
Hi Raj,
Remember, this is just my guess on what will happen from my experience. The torques are on wheel 3
I imagine wheel 1 is a cover. Wheel 2 would only receive torque if there were stops around it. Even then the torque on wheel 2 would be minimal. If you captured it and linked 2 and 3, The purple would be changed to green.
When you build (or even sim) mechanisms and understand them, you get a feel for what and why weights react the way they do under different circumstances. It doesn't mean I am always right though. GPE = weight x height. lift something quickly takes a lot of effort, drop something at certain angle, the angle determines how much energy is extracted. Let the weight rest on a platform, its influence disappears.

Tarsier79, I am delighted with your response.
YOU, still have got my wheel concept wrong.
SO, let me give you full description of my wheel concept drawing, as I always do when presenting a new concept , which I deliberately omitted this time:
A drum-wheel(1) on split axles(3) with two inner rims(2), one on front and one on back, leaving a blank empty vertical space, allowing cylindrical hub(5), with outwards groove channel(6), of wheel(4)... NO AXLE...rest/roll freely on and pendulums(7) with bobs/weights(8) swinging at 45 degrees intervals on outer rim of wheel(4), falling down on the descending clockwise side, in time to meet with inner rim(2)of wheel(1), and continue swinging/resting to the 6 o'clock position inside grove channel(6) and upwards to the 12 o'clock resetting position.
Please note;
There is only one wheel(1) and only one axle(3) in this wheel concept.
Wheel(4) with swinging pendulums and bobs/weights are acting TOGETHER
as ONE MASS resting/rolling on inner rim(2) of wheel(1) on axle(3).
Therefore, all torques by pendulums/bobs/weights are acting directly on axle(3) of wheel(1) AND Calculation of torques is simplified by just finding the horizontal distance of weights from the vertical line through the axle.
Below, is a concept drawing I posted way back in 2013/4, where Path_Finder made a comment worth noting.

re: Crazy as can be wheel concept
Hi raj,
I had not seen your drawing before, why havn't you finished it ?
You where so close !!
In fact you have here the basic of the Bi-Directional wheel.
All is symmetric, but it is not balanced, it is well balanced.
In a balanced system, the torque is equal, but it has no additional energy left to move.
In an well balanced system. the torque is equal, but the upper weights have still energy and can move.
If you only have substituted the rigid connection from the legs to the center of the walker with springs(changing the length of the lever arms during rotation), you will have a runner.
Gravity will compress the springs and release it automatically during the turning.
There is an automatic energy transfer from one side to the other during the turn.

My pendulums wheel concept shows a SHAPE changing MASS, (made up of WHEEL(4) with its eight pendulums/bobs/weights) with its COM staying always on the clockwise descending side AS wheel(4) rolls on Inner RIM of WHEEL(1) as and when it rotates,

I am inviting quotations from Forum members with facilities and experience for:
1. Proof of concept computer simulation
2. Proof of concept build
Of my current patent pending Pendulums Wheel concept.
Please PM me.
Below is a side view drawing of my Pendulums Wheel concept:
WHEEL(1) and inner rim(2) on axle(3) are in red ink.
WHEEL(4) in black ink and pendulums/bobs/weights in green ink together as a SINGLE MASS rest/roll on inner rim(2)

Holy smoke.Proof that my PENDULUMS WHEEL is a RUNNER.
Raj, if ever i am incorrectly accused of murder, i sincerely hope that you are not on the jury.
Planetary precession, "may" have been an inspiration too.
re: Crazy as can be wheel concept
I am appalled by your thought.
What made you come up with that that disgusting thing about my me.
I DARE you to GIVE me reasons why you think I cannot be an impartial God fearing JURY, based on FACTS.

GO READ through the whole of This Bessler Forum, you will find REFERENCE to Bessler’s visit to Prague prior to coming with his wheel idea.
At worse, I may be making not accepted claim by others. That does make me a potential murderer.
THERE IS NO WORSE BLIND THAN ONE WHO DON'T WANT TO SEE.
LOOK AT MY DRAWINGS ON THIS THREAD AND COMPARE.
