Thanks JC. I wouldn't mind if you linked to it.

re: Gravity Wheel
My new sliders came today wich are simple tubes that slide back and forth on the slider shafts. No binding or hanging of any kind is noticed. Weights can be strapped to the tubes if needed. I moved the pendulum mount to 22.5 degrees in which I mentioned before and that decreased the pendulum lenght to about half. This makes the wheel one directional. I simply connected the 2 slider tubes with a stiff wire over the axle. ( I will drill holes though the axle at a later date) Installed gloves on the tubes. I made sure there was no visible backdrag keeping the pendulum string vertical though the slider weight pair push. Initial testing has me very anxious. I can now see that the motion from the wheel will perpetuate itself in what I was explaining as the tandem effect in a earlier post. I can now see acceleration from the wheel as the sliders move. I have done no more for today. I will install 2 more giving me a cross when I start back working on this wheel.
I finally started thinking outside of the box, only to find myself in a larger box.

I'm very happy for you Calloway and I'm excited for you as well! I'm looking forward to seeing your results. :)

Thank you Silent. My nerves are shook up right now. I had to get away from the wheel for awhile. I want everyone to know I'm not claiming anything at this time. Im just seeing results that I have never seen before and I have built several in my lifetime. I forgot to mention that the pendulum mounts were moved in exactly 3" at 22.5 degrees on my 36" wheel. This insures the pendulum weight contacts the slider weight tubes at 8:00 o'clock.
Feels like Bessler is looking over my shoulder.....Crazy.

Hi Calloway
It's a good idea to take a break.
What you are feeling right now has happened to other members.
You are not alone.

The video is with 1 sliding weight pair. The next pair will make the cross.
Seems there is enough power to do this.

Callaway, if two weights don't work, four won't either.
. I can assure the reader that there is something special behind the stork's bills.

justsomeone, Maybe not. Just trying some different ideas.

re: Gravity Wheel
I understand the logic 'if two weights don't work, four won't either'.
However it needs verification.
There are three modifications, I expect you will get around too doing.
1. Double the work you have done so you have cross over config.
2. Increase the length of the string.
3. Replace the string with light rods.

re: Gravity Wheel
Observe how it is too late when the slider slides to overbalance after 3-o'clock.
When that happens most of the slider's weight will actually be on the left/underbalanced side.

re: Gravity Wheel
Me, Yes I see it and have been trying to correct the problem. I have to move the slider weights up to correct this before the 3 oclock position. I moved the pendulum mount towards the center of the wheel from the edge of the wheel to decrease the backdrag effect on the wheel. Pulling seems to be better than pushing the slider weights.
Agor, I added length to the cord after your suggestion which allows the pendulum to pick up the first tube weight before 3 oclock and then pulls the second tube weight along after 3 oclock. A interesting adjustment. I did video it if your interested. I will eventually add the extra pair to make a cross and play with it from there. I have a minor surgery scheduled for next week so I will have to slow down.
Thanks to you guys for your help and suggestions.

Hi The rod suggestion.
Imagine the rod bring a flat ruler from the pivot point to the pendulum.
The sliding weigh peg make contact with half the width of the ruler.
You will note as the slider moves the slider's contact peg travels along the ruler's length.
When you want to disengage the ruler peg connection reduce the ruler's width from that point.
The extra length of the ruler will pass over the peg on the slider weight.
Note. Your original observation of a pendulum being pulled by a pivot on the rim of a rotating disk; should not be missed.
Cheers
