I think it might be just possible to "influence" the direction a weather system such as a hurricane takes by using some sort of phased input of radio frequency energy to a particular area of the earth's surface. If one could, say, vary the rate of rainfall in different parts of a weather system such as a tropical storm or hurricane with this approach, then it might be possible to "steer" the system in different directions if other atmospheric conditions were also agreeable. The secret to effectively using this approach would lie in using it to deflect a hurricane when it was still a tropical storm out at sea. In this way, a small effect on it then would translate into a big deflection later when it was fully formed and moving toward the USA.

I visited the site and looked at the radar images. Assuming that they have not been doctored up or have some other logical explanation for them that is not being presented, one has to wonder why anybody in the US government would want to deflect a hurricane into New Orleans and mess up the local economy for, perhaps, years to come. The suggestion was also made that terrorists could be behind it. To me that seems very improbable. I am more worried about them getting their fanatical hands on a "loose" nuke or even enough radioisotopes to make a crude "dirty" bomb.

On 7/6/06, I found, in any overbalanced gravity wheel with rotation rate, ω, axle to CG distance d, and CG dip angle φ, the average vertical velocity of its drive weights is downward and given by:

Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ

They have the disproof of their nonsense right there on the page, and they use it as evidence, because they're idiots. There are atmospheric conditions that will reflect radar and not visible light, so that the radar can see it, but we can't. Scroll down to the UNISYS animation, 8th from the top. You'll see a clear vortical pattern, only vaguely defined by clouds at the edges, with essentially none in the middle. It's like a big dust devil with no dust, or a hurricane that's so weak that there are almost no clouds; it's just swirling air. But it is humid air, with subtle variations in the density of suspended water. And seeing subtle variations in a fine fog is like trying to hear a supernova, you can't do it with your eyes/ears, you have to have a totally different instrument, in this case, radar.
Disclaimer: I reserve the right not to know what I'm talking about and not to mention this possibility in my posts. This disclaimer also applies to sentences I claim are quotes from anybody, including me.

Gee If it really was Bush's HAARP, he would have it sent to New York.

Subject: A New Element

A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of
the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element has been
named "Governmentium." Governmentium has one neutron, 12 assistant
neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons,
giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are
surrounded by vast quantities of particles called peons. Since
Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be
detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into
contact. A minute amount of Governmentium causes one reaction to take
over four days to complete, when it would normally take less than a
second.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 4 years; it does not decay, but
instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the
assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact,
Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each
reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming
isodopes.

This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to
believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain
quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as
"Critical Morass." When catalyzed with money, Governmentium
becomes Administratium - an element which radiates just as much energy
as the Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many
morons.

I dont realy want to sign this! :-)

I think someone once said that "the system can not solve the problems of the people, because the system IS the problem!".

We saw a prime example of this with the recent "rescue" efforts of FEMA in New Orleans. 50% of the people were trapped in their houses for 4 DAYS before the first boats and helicopters began to show up!

I think Ralph has stated the problem correctly. As societies age, their originally effective and responsive governments turn into pyramids made up of bloated bureaucracies that not only do not know what is going on within themselves, but also begin to get defensive and stop effective communications with their fellow bloated bureaucracies. Eventually, they must rely upon computers to "manage" things. Before one knows it, half of a nation's population will be "employed" by their government, but the main purpose of it all will be to keep these people busy during the day so that they don't start a revolution!

God only knows where we'll be at the end of this century!
