Daxwc, over here due to intimidation of jurors we had until 2007 "Diplock Courts" (no jury)...this brought its own problems not really a solution....Now historical actions by soldiers is being discussed by Govt. ,a minefield in itself....This being Anzac Day i wonder if breaker Harry Morant executed during the Boar War by Court Martial would have had the same result from a civilian jury court......i apologise to Ovvyus and others its quiet on here at the moment and i'm only trying to stimulate conversation on current affairs in the news that would encourage more hits to the forum......

I am not sure that is the problem Agor95. I think it is reflective of the generation we have raised, that is entitled, self-absorbed, anti-authority and needing instant gratification. State parenting instead of real parenting has put us here. Science as a religion instead of moral backed religions. What is the common thread; resisting arrest. No respect for police or the justice systems.

Just look at where we are this week, where the person with a knife attacking another person is made out be the victim and martyr by the media.

In my opinion (I'm not press), the press did good in not pursuing that Hunter conspiracy story.
Instead they should have asked (maybe they did) why some unofficial lawyer, although on the personal payroll (was he paid) of the former president, was allowed on some semi official investigation tour in the Ukraine.
A tour to investigate some US citizen who apparently went rogue. according to stories.
Should have been, idunno, Interpol or simply the DoJ. At least some official department that was under Trump's 'supervision' who should have been instructed if he was so worried... and then stay far away as possible. Instead, Trump phoned in himself.

On the other hand there's this US-official Muller report were Russian interference and cooperation with the 2016 Trump-team was found for certain. That Trump obstructed justice was only scared off because they weirdly didn't want to obstruct a sitting president...
There's also this thing about Trump's kids having some semi-official/official function while he was president.... At least, if family interference is the issue we need to focus on here.
