Silvertiger:
The prime purpose of prophecy it to PROVE that God exists, and thus to make believers out of nonbelievers, and to edify the church.
Those are the illegitimate sources of false prophecy. Prophets of God are never wrong...even if it seems wrong in the limited mind of man.
- 4/30/2019, Robin Bullock prophesies the coming of Covid-19. He didn't know the word "pandemic," so he used the words "pestilence" and "epidemic." The virus' first appearance was in Wuhan, China eight months later in December, and was not classified as a pandemic until November 11th, 2020.

- 02/02/2021, Robin Bullock prophesies the Suez Canal incident. The incident, involving a ship getting stuck crossways that blocked all traffic upwards of 300 ships, did not occur until March 23rd
What makes Robin a prophet of God? Doesn’t just one wrong prophesy make him a false prophet even if he gets a hundred right? Don’t Christians think that Jesus was the last prophet? Don’t Jews think Malachi was the last prophet? Are not all modern day prophets false prophets in the eyes of the Lord?

A prophet of God is never wrong, for prophecy comes from the Holy Spirit...who IS God. If a prophet is ungodly, then he is not a prophet of God. And yet, since that gift is bestowed on him, his office awaits when he does return to God. And so, when it comes to prophecies of God that people believe are wrong, what is actually wrong is either the people's man-conceived interpretation of it, or their expectancy of a certain outcome versus what actually comes to pass, or their expectancy of it happening in a timeframe that corresponds to their way of thinking, when it actually never happens that way. People tend to put God in a box, completely unaware that insodoing they put themselves in a box, unable to receive any revelatory knowledge beyond the confines of the box that they built. God doesn't fit in a box. He will always surprise you.

Many of Samuel's prophecies are just now coming to pass, and that was thousands of years ago. Even in HIS time, when he prophesied to Saul that he would no longer be king, Saul retained the crown for twenty years past that. People didn't understand the prophecy. What Samuel really was telling Saul was that he was being stripped of his king's anointing, a gift that could only come from God. Once that was taken back, the weight and burdens of the crown drove him mad.
For rebellion is as the sin of divination, And insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has also rejected you from being king.

- I Samuel 15:23
And no...Christians do not believe that Jesus was "the last prophet." I'm a Christian, and I have no idea where you got this information. Will there ever come a time when people will stop telling me what I believe? Jesus was not a prophet of God. He was and is His only begotten son, and therefore he could and did prophesy, but he did not take the office of a prophet. Jesus came to FULFILL prophecy, and to fulfill the law, to lead captivity captive, and give us all liberty and immortality with Him through salvation.

No denomination believes that either. If they do then they are not Christians, for a Christian is a "follower of Christ" and his teachings.

Cessationism is a Protestant doctrine that spiritual gifts such as speaking in tongues, prophecy and healing ceased with the Apostolic Age.
Since that is what most protestants believe, well then you tell protestants they are not followers of Christ.

Robin’s net worth is 42million dollars. He is named as the top 20 richest pastors in the world.
I always have a problem with these people. Wouldn’t an ardent follower of Christ and a Prophet be worth nothing?

There is a difference between believing in Christ and following his teachings.

The answer to your question is a resounding NO. In fact, the bible teaches us that the wealth of the wicked will and does transfer to the righteous. (Prov. 14:22 and Deut. 28:12 for starters) It also teaches us that, even if we as true Christians become destitute, that God WILL supply ALL our needs. (Read Matt. 6:25-31)

And by quoting Matt. 7, you just revealed your judgment on matters in which you think you have knowledge. Making the statement that because a man is wealthy means that they are wicked is a gross fallacy in the reasoning of the mind of man. Can you tell me what those "fruits" are that Matthew is speaking of?

Robin grew up poor in a house with no electricity. But he pursued a relationship with Jesus and he is rewarded for that, just as I will be and anyone else who chooses to surrender THEIR will to the will of God and puts Him first.

S/T ,

I have much respect for you , standing for what you believe is true .

You say " a Prophet of God " , have God introduced this man to you and said he is a Prophet of MINE

I am a sinner , and ask forgiveness when I think I have sinned , I was born in sin , for if I had no sins I would be equal to God .

Daan .

Yes, He has...but not just Robin. There are thousands, and many more who are up and coming, and God says they are HIS. The road of a prophet is harder than any other road because they are at the forefront of everything. They take the slander, the mocking, the ridicule, the disbelief, and even the contempt and hatred of those who do believe in God but do not believe in his Word ( which includes prophecy) because they think they know and understand the mind of God, when in fact no one does. That's what the Holy Spirit is for...to communicate to us prophetically the will and intentions of God, and to interpret what the bible says...to teach us.

When you die daily as Paul did, you are righteous before God. You are not "equal" to God, because Jesus is the head of the body (the church) of which we are the limbs. And as such, when we live our lives for Him rather than ourselves or the world or another god, His power and authority is made manifest in us in a smaller measure. To put things in perspective, God has the power to speak one word and then that word goes out and makes into creation all possible definitions that that one word entails. He has the power to move a man through time, which He has done and still does, and that action in science requires the energy of an exploding star. We have measures of that power here on earth, but when we receive our glorified bodies like Adam had before he sinned, we will then have that power too.
