A problem has the same answer no matter where you start.

There is so much we do not know. Or think we do, when we do not.

I find this plain OBVIOUS that there will be NO solution to this NOT ending in a 4 2 1 .
The rules applied to solve this problem guaranties that regardless which number you start with will come somewhere to number of the DOUBLE number sequence, which will by dividing by 2 continuously will finally end up with the last three numbers 4 2 1.

As far as I understand mathematicians take rigorous proof very seriously.
It is the only endeavor along with pure logic we can get right.
The set of proofs are then used as a foundation for more complex compound proofs and these are used as tools for finding solutions to problems.
When I use the word solutions. I am using the math's meaning.
You can use an iterative method towards an approximate answer.
However this can have an accuracy issue referred to as chaos theory.
Or find a formula that can be proofed to give the answer.
The formula is known as a solution and can answer what a system will be way into the future.

My LAYMAN explanation is proof enough to show that any number you choose to start with will ALWAYS at last reach a number from the DOUBLE number sequence , i.e 1,2,4,8,16, 32, 64, 128.... to infinity, which will all be divisible by 2, ending as last with the three numbers 4, 2 , 1.

I agree with Raj.

Hi Raj
Best to focus on our impossible task than the others.

Yes Agor,
Let's get on with our job.
By the way, I am not really a layman.
I graduated in Maths and Computer sclence in 1980 in UK. I am a marine energy inventor, and listed as inventer in the European Marine Energy Center website, owned an intellectual property and a novelist with two novels in English.
I speak English, French and Hindi fluently.
I admit I am like a layman in Physics and mechanics.

Hi Raj,
do you have still the contact to European Marine Energy ?
My waterwheel can also be applied on the coast to take the energy of the waves.
But maybe my version is too simple for the engineers.
look at
http://kuenstler-energie.de/index.php?id=29
and click on the movements.
Every sea wave can be transformed into a rotation.
I am looking for a place where I can implement this type of device.

One interesting Marine Energy principle is a large venturi pipe.
As this is fixed in place under water the flow, river or tide creates low pressure in the restricted venturi section.
An air pipe from above water connects to this section.
Thus high atmospheric air pressure can do work as it flows to the low pressure that is created in the venturi.
This was being tested in the UK some years ago.

Hello Georg,
I am not in contact as such with EMEC.
However I get contacted sometimes because of my being listed on EMEC'S list of world inventors of marine energy converters.
I received two invitations last month, one from Singapore and one from UK.
