It's been a long time since I played with magnets...
We can notice that the magnets in repulsion are much too close, it would be necessary to amplify the movement of rotation so as to come to present itself at the good moment.
I'll try to offset the big white wheel, so more amplitude.
Apart from a magnetic mask (not available on earth) it won't work but it makes you think.
That design is from the last century and has been scrutinized by many brilliant minds.
Additionally I looked at it and have attempted models sans magnets.
I could never see anything in it either. It reminded me of what you were looking at.
Your work is excellent and fast.
