The 1 meter radius SIM I'm looking at now falls short 3.359mm.
I just made an adjustment and the
action now causes a
reaction of a rotation of 256.446150 degrees yet now 3.282mm short.
A nano second late and a few joules short of a working wheel.
I think I need to adjust the hair trigger on that

Ha ha. I like that. The other possibility is that it is closing in on 100% efficient in a perfect world, SIM world.

It just came to me, Tarsier.
Yet think about it. What do we do as mobilist? We take a perfectly good flywheel, disembody it and make piles of junk. I'm a mobilist. I know.
Just finished adding another RCH to the hair trigger and got 294.035294 degrees and 1.256mm before energies are reduced to 9.734565 e-009J.
It Peters out yet again. But at least I'm moving back in the direction of the perfect flywheel I had before I began the redesign.
eta: now 306.591781 degrees and 4.414mm short. Some thing is different.
eta one more time: it's spun 338.335389 degrees now. I'm adjusting the initial force (action) to make these changes.
Before I got my hands on this simulator I couldn't even spell engineer. Now I are one.

Onya Walt .. sims take the shackles off us. They create conditions for great freedom of expression, super quick turn-around of ideas, and great joy as we see our thought processes evolve exponentially. Some minor blips along the road too ;7( But that's life !
And every time we learn or consolidate something. I don't believe that you must have a sim program to aid testing and developing of ideas (B. didn't). Just like I don't believe you need shoes and training to win a marathon ;7)
