Yes, claiming one has a working wheel when one does not is a bad thing to do. Collecting money from those who believe in one's design is even worse.
I think in a lot of cases like this, however, the inventor does not really start out to commit fraud, but, rather, is so enthusiastic about his yet to be completed or fully tested design, that he is swept along by the euphoria of it all. In this state of impaired judgement, he makes all sorts of claims and promises. Eventually, he realizes that he was wrong, but, then, can not find the courage to admit his error and make amends to anybody that he may have harmed financially.
Anyway, I am not completely familiar with the Vandusen incident but, I wonder, would it be possible for him to be unbanned if he was to admit his error and then financially compensate anybody who was swept up in the matter?

am i wrong or do all scams require the sucker to be greedy...eny thing else is called charity....is it the scamers place to keep me from being so greedy i scam my self...it's a tuff world out there.....there be scammers in them there hills....enron,world com,bush,darrel...if you are going to hand over you're hard earned money before seeing something that works mabe it be better to grab you're butt with both hands and run screaming down the road...........enron got me for a few bucks....but now that i think about it they got kicked off

You're wrong. As you probably already know winkle, some people see no harm in lying to get what they want for free. Parasites don't care whether they sucker someone who is charitable or greedy, as long as they get what they want.
like i said trying to get in on a sweetheart deal cheep might be greedy...could make you hurt you're self.......just talking about the real world not some fable where everyone is sweet and kind....i guess that sweet and kind part don't seem to apply to you ovyyous.....i don't need a loop hole i know what it cost to make one.....i'll say this also does not take $10.000 to make......if eny body say more than a few hunderd it would be time to cover you'r butt and hit the road screaming........i have ask no one on this board for enything other than some advise....i won't be asking for enything more expensive than that

Scams and lies, whether it be to steal your money or your time, certainly don't surprise me anymore. But I'm completely baffled by how many different ways there are to spell my handle - lol
PS winkle, I notice you heavily edited the post that Jim and I responded too - now it looks much less like an effort to find loopholes and place blame on the poor sucker ;)

you use the word sucker like it's a good thing....is it better to be a sucker or a scammer?.....i don't find much of a defence for either one......just answer this question ....which would you rather be a sucker or scammer.....as to you're handle i can't find it in the Dictionary so i ain't sure how to spell it....can you spell this (i know how the wheel works and you don't):p

if there were no suckers "there could be no scammers"......are you sure you would rather be a sucker if so you would create another scammer......you know being dumb and being a nice person are not the same thing.....the second is by choice the first may or may not be......if choosing to be dumb thats worse than being natural born dumb .....seems like a 50-50 problem to me.....but as always if someone looses some money it's always the other persons fault never their own....seems like stamping out suckers will put an end to scammers....they will just fade away.....oh i almost forgot we have to do away with greed before we can do away with suckers.............................as to the other you are half right....i would be guessing about you.....fairly safe guess though....................i will tell you this though....after you find the answer to the first way your mind turns quickly to just how many different ways are there to make these things
