That is still Murilo's Avalanche drive. Perhaps Jim did an animation for him. I can guarantee Jim did not see any promise in this design.

Yes. Jim did. And as a result of Jim's work and others Murilo's concept is enshrined in the MUD. IIRC Jim generated the frames with Visual Basic®. Someone at Jim's level of curiosity and skill set have a way of cutting thru the blarney and getting to the meat of something. He's missed.

If you are talking about this one, there is no imbalance. Just because the weight is further from the center does not mean there is more downwards force. There is however more rotational torque on the pivot for each lever.

and although the system would remain balanced if the left lever dropped a bit, that wouldn't be adequate to restore it from whence it came.

To put it in Shammy speak, the raw energy has too much of a rectilinear translation pathway and not enough of a curvilinear translation pathway. I'm thinking it's a job for some hyper-structural pathway® attached to earth ground yet operating within the wheel (in a most curvilinear translation manner).
