Correction .. in my post above CC I said rod - I literally meant a rectangle that acts like a rod. Then the rectangle and small circle can be rigid joined. And the gear attached to the circle portion etc.

Thanks Fletch - I believe I tried that a while back and it failed - but I'm desperate so I will try it again!!

WM2D doesn't seem to like putting down a chain sprocket when the arm is mounted on an already moving arm.
