You don’t even understand the meaning of what you copied and pasted. The MT drawings, that I used, were not “developed” as a “work of another person”. The owner of the website performed image enhancement of previously existing drawings. That is not the meaning of “developed” as used in the definition that you provided.WaltzCee wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 6:07 pm https://www.niu.edu/academic-integrity/ ... aphs.shtml
Plagiarism in Graphs, Charts, Figures, or Images
Definition
Using graphs, charts, figures or images from a source without acknowledging that another person developed them is considered plagiarism.
AND
Where did you credit the owner of the graphics you used?
After knowing him for around 30 years I was actually kind of proud of how I credited Mr Bill McMurty and his work in "Bessler Wheel Secrets #1" starting a little after 10 minutes. The timing of this display just so happens to exactly coincide with the appearance of the first drawing from Mr McMurty’s website in my videos. You might have noticed the somewhat humorous textual comment if you had actually watched the video.
Additionally, because you obviously didn’t see the video -> EVERY SINGLE MT GRAPHIC <- that was used had the name of Bill’s website prominently displayed. How is that not enough acknowledgment ?
The only thing that is actually wrong here is that Mr Bill is not complaining but you are.
Not too long ago there were some beautiful traditions and a wonderfully celebratory spirit surrounding a beloved baseball team that was destroyed by a group of people with no trace of American Native origins but were offended “for Native Americans” by the name, Cleveland Indians. Now the team has a new name and has lost more than 60% of their fan base. My wife was a die hard fan of the Indians for most of her life. Now she avoids baseball entirely. The Acquired Offense Syndrome (A.O.S.) is a mental disease.
Circus side show entertainers used to make a good living but A.O.S. groups felt sorry for the midgets, disfigured persons and women with beards and shut the circuses down. The vast majority of the performers spent the rest of their lives in poverty and starved to death because they could not work regular jobs. The A.O.S. people accomplished their ignorant moral objective but did nothing to help after destroying their lives. Guess their real objective was to kill that “Basket of deplorables”.
The only other graphics that I used where produced more than 200 years ago and the original owner did not leave a forwarding address for me to contact him but it seems like pretty much everyone else knew, without seeing it in writing, that Bessler was the original developer since he is the subject of all of our work. The things that you have to mansplain to “some people”.
So, NO, that is not even remotely plagiarism.
One other note….. You are pretty clueless with the comment:
If I were intending on monetizing anything I would not have given away, in the form of publishing. everything. Some of us are not hopelessly driven by the worldly ideal of selfish monetary gain but I know that is, like super uber impossible, for some of this planet’s inhabitants to understand why someone would work so hard (or deal with extraordinarily difficult people) strictly for the benefit of others.
