Bessler's drawings in MT look very similar to DaVinci's. Did Bessler have a copy of DaVinci's work, and try to duplicate the effort for money??

No, it's most likely that all PM searchers independently come up with the same or similar designs during their search... ;-)

DaVinci went missing between 1476 to 1478.

Could he have been studying the knowledge left by the Chinese Fleet in 1434?
