Calloway Gravity Engine

Post by Calloway »

Pendulums are adjusted by spring. The pendulums never hang straight down. They are adjusted so that they maintain their initial position thru out rotation. Recoil spring is used from a Honda engine. One end of the spring is wrapped around a shaft bearing behind the one way mounted pendulum bearing. The other end of the spring is looped out and back to a bolt at the very top of the pendulum. This fixates the pendulum to the required position thru out the 360 degree rotation.

Hi Calloway,
Looks like you are doing better than me. I gave up on them, (pendulums). Anyway, good to here from you------------------Sam

A spring still won't keep your pendulum out of balance, neither will a one way bearing. You need a force, not preloaded.

Let's take one pendulum and adjust it by spring so that it doesn't hang straight down in a preset position. But is off to the right. Then gradually move the wheel CW. The pendulum is moving towards a straight down position by the wheel turning. But the opposite end of the pendulum starts compressing the spring. This compression automatically causes the pendulum to move back to its preset position. Conclusion. The pendulum is always adjusting it's position back to the preset position. The spring is constantly picking up the pendulum as it travels with the wheel keeping its preset position.

What is the other end of the spring connected to?

I was under the impression you had built it. A mock-up of your design will show the spring won't re-tension itself.

Hello Calloway

Always keep learning.

Does that not simplify to a chevron shape weight?

I wanted to come back and explain the uploaded photos.
Problem:
They are still not complete runners, but they show how I am now keeping the arms out in a perfect timing manner as the wheel rotates. If you notice the weighted pulleys are turned to the left side as the wheel rotates CW. The weights hanging from the pulleys are picking up the arms as the wheel rotates. But there is backdrag even though the pulley weights are more to the center of the wheel.

Correction:
I have now placed 2 side by side bearing pulleys on the disk shaft. This opens up a whole new avenue. These disk shaft pulleys are weighted down so they cannot turn or in fact can be connected to solid ground without weight so they cannot rotate. However the disk shaft itself can turn through these pulleys. The belts are connected to the outside disk pulleys with the correct timing to the shaft pulleys that cannot turn. The disk wheel is released. The belt or bands walk around the disk shaft pulley picking up the outside pulley arms with weight keeping the timing correct on the outside pulley arms as the wheel turns. Not a normal setup using pulleys. No back drag from the weights or connection to ground because we are working from the shaft. Gravity does the rest from the wheel. I don't expect all to understand this setup but in time you will.

Cheers

That is one bodacious contraption, Calloway.

Hi Calloway

The device shown above will not work, there are a number of different explanations as to why. The first one I can give is that in a gravity system, weight must fall for gravity to drive your wheel: If it doesn't "fall", it doesn't turn...... (by fall I mean a net PE system loss.)

Your description sounds like a roberval system. I quickly found a version of RB online. It wouldn't matter if it is grounded, or virtually grounded with a weight as you are showing above. This is something commonly tried by many usually early in their search. It is a fairly simple and rudimentary concept. While it might be useful to combine with other mechanisms, it in itself will not create a self perpetuating movement. Again, we need a "fall".

Happy experimenting.

I am still unsure if 555v in the MT is showing balance or unbalance; but there is a possibility it is showing how to free the RB up and break the lock.

Tas....You don't have a clue as to what I'm doing. I mean not a clue! I know what a roberval is. I'm not that rudimentary.....How about keeping your comments to yourself. You are the only one that runs from one comment to the next saying " that won't work". You offer nothing in your own experiments. I mean nothing... Experiments are offered for folks for them to think about. They may be wrong or right. Nobody needs your opinion because you offer nothing in the form of experiments. Damm I'm glad you don't live in East Texas or I would cure you of those bad habits.

The photos I have shown cannot be grounded for your information. Where did you come up with that? I don't know.

Boss we need the "fall" !

Tas just sit back and shut your mouth.

Cheers
