No eyewitnesses to Bessler himself destructing his Wheels in Rage?

I read many times, that when people tryed to inspect Besslers Wheels, sometimes he destroyed them in a Rage of Anger or something like that- I wonder because this has to be when people still were in the room, werent they??
So I imagine myself standing there witnessing Besller destroying his wheels in front of live audience- would he have revealed the inside?
It makes me wonder

No one saw it at the time but saw what was left after he had destroyed it. I have suggested he always “destroyed” his wheel prior to his next move. This was to protect the secret of his machine during the move. In other words he disassembled it for safety.

The only clue, and it’s not much use, was that when he died there were some parts of a wheel found. I don’t know what happened to them, might still be at Kassel where the original MT papers were?
