Let me explain the differ between Sam’s discovery and mt 1&2

When mt1&2 ball hit the casing, the hitting force lined up with the wheel center and therefore contributes no torque.

In Sam’s model, the ball hit a smaller circle within the casing. The hitting force is off center of the main wheel and therefore contributes a torque.

Anyway. I think the forum allows about 9.5 MB's file size max. So I going to experiment some more with the giff animator to try and get longer running animations and smoother viewing inside the allowable file size limit.

You are right agor, the rollers do strike on or very close to a tangent, which couldn't be much better. I'm trying to find a better way to absorbed the impact of the roller with the casing, which might improve the torque. Also, maybe a spiral leading into the ramp, to hep lift it up and onto it---------------------------Sam
