Although I tend to think Bessler was comparing the beauty of his wheel to that of a peacock, knowing how he usually combined two meanings within one clue, there maybe some additional information in the image. Interesting that the peacock seems to be standing in a wheel.

If you were to make a list of objects in the sky.

Sun, mercury, venus [vesper,lucifer], moon, mars, saturn & jupiter

Well there are seven and the sun follows a constant path in the sky.
So it does not bow down or change.

Also it's 24 hour path creates day and night also supplies north,south.east & west.

I remember there was a clay plate found in America that had several forms of writing.
One of them looked like some of the forms on this plate.
