Hi Waltcy!
I don't think he knows what he's talking about. I thought when the sh*t hit the fan, stuff flew everywhere---------------Sam

Re: Zeroing in on Bessler's wheel
The giant problem is, I'm a lot closer to Bessler's wheel than anyone cares to admit. Like it or not, it's going to happen---Sam
Re: Zeroing in on Bessler's wheel
CF is mercurial not manurial.
C.F. is mercurial as it is inertial in nature. So look at the inertia of mass and not the illusional mirage of the circular path around the rim of a cow pat.

agor,
I'm sorry agor95, I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about, maybe ecc1 does.
I think what he's really worried about is; the ring and rollers might work. If he knew for sure that it was a dead duck, he wouldn't even bother with me. I know this guy, he would just ignore me---------------------Sam

Re: Zeroing in on Bessler's wheel
The question I have is;
Could the C.F. be used too keep the mass up.

Re: Zeroing in on Bessler's wheel
That's a dam good question Waltcy!! I think it could. There must be a way. I would love to solve it. It would be a linear accelerator that would not only hold a mass up but, drive it to light speed and beyond-------------------Sam

I think you have eccentrically1 mis-characterized, Sam.I think what he's really worried about is; the ring and rollers might work. If he knew for sure that it was a dead duck, he wouldn't even bother with me. I know this guy, he would just ignore me---------------------Sam
I think it would amaze some how many ways others have tried to skin this cat.
I'm not suggesting you give up on an idea based on what someone says, yet you shouldn't discount the discussion
You really don't want a bunch of yes men. That's not a discussion.
Keep us posted about your build.

Re: Zeroing in on Bessler's wheel
Hi Waltcy,
I'm not sure what his motives are but, I agree with you on one point; what if he did say it would work. That wouldn't mean much either. And you're right; he has a 1,000 years on his side to back him up and, superior intellect to go with it.
What chance have I got, against a guy like that----------------------------Sam
PS Right, the build. My son wanted me to make him a set of giant articulated wings. So the wheel got delayed, just starting on it now.

Aaah, ring and rollers, that sounds familiar!

Re: Zeroing in on Bessler's wheel
Sorry if you took it that way Sam, I don't intend to ridicule anybody. Some years back, I actually worked quite a long time on the above principle.Sam Peppiatt wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 8:36 am phj,

Re: Zeroing in on Bessler's wheel
phj,
Maybe it's a good sign. Fletcher said the ridicule will only intensify, if you ever solved Bessler's wheel. That's what really got me; I had hopped that the opposite would happen, that it would subside------------------------Sam
