Frame Assembly
These 3 pictures shows where I'm at with assembling the frame and what I'll be doing today and tomorrow. The first picture
shows 1 side of the frame is being assembled with the opposite frame on top of it. The hub core has 8 sides to it. This allows
for aligning the spars. This is a prototype so everything will be off a little. I also did not use a table saw.
With the 2nd picture, it shows the hub core was aligned with the bearing housing the spars attach to. It is a nice looking bearing
housing. And since all of the spars are secured in place I can attach the spars to the bearing housing. With the hub core and the
opposite side of the frame, I will flip both of those right to left.
Then when I mount the spars to the rim and the bearing housing, it will be the opposite/mirror image of the other side of the
frame. Then I as the 3rd picture shows, I'll need to drill hole locations for the axles of the weighted levers. Then I can assemble
the frame so it will be one assembly. The 3rd picture also shows a brace which goes between spars. This is so the spars will not
sway to one side or the other.
I'll wait until the frame of the wheel is on a stand before I add the lockout mechanisms and weight wheels. It'll just be easier that
way.

This picture shows about what the frame of the wheel will look like. Minor details can some times take more time than
bigger details while preparation time might take much longer. Why building can be frustrating. Assembling parts into
sub-assemblies and then into assemblies goes well when every step is know. And if you haven't built it before then it's
a learning process.

to people who follow my work. One reason why is as I mentioned in the video, if other people do builds like mine or Bessler's,
they'll need an idea of what to expect. And with my previous build, while aimed at realizing Bessler's Wheel, if I would've
used tapered roller bearings for every instance where a bushing or bearing was needed, it might've worked.
And that model would be an advanced lesson in how leverage using linear momentum can change the angular momentum
of a body in motion. Thought I'd get in a couple of laws of science in there. When understood then it's easier to understand
what can work.
And tomorrow I'll most likely have the frame of the wheel finished. With the weighted levers and lockout mechanisms, once
the wheel is on its stand. Then after that step I can add the gear rack which will be a (an external) force that causes the
weighted levers to rotate by creating resistance. Resistance is an opposing force to motion and is why nothing works. And
then we're back to Newton's laws of motion and did you take the time to do the math.

It's off the table and is now on the floor. I have some errands to run tomorrow and I'll be able to buy some more decorative screws.
I don't want stainless steel showing. While it's not the best quality build, it is a step in the right direction. Then if I do more builds
in the future I'll know what it takes to build a "piece" that can be sold as an original.
Up close I can see all of the flaws. And a very basic rule, on YouTube they'll make working with plywood look good. You really can't
shape it like routing a radius on an edge. Plywood is mostly for flat, straight pieces of wood. To add detail, it will be necessary to add
actual wood around a part. Then when it is shaped, it's wood that will show grain/end grain appearance. And if end grain is left
exposed, it is woodworking, right?
With plywood, you can use a zero tolerance plate on your table saw and when the saw cuts down, it is not tearing the plywood. It's
the same thing with routing. And then when you try to stain it, soft woods really show and not in a good way. Just some basic
woodworking tips for whoever reads this and builds something. Using plywood means the overall appearance might be best if it's
painted which is okay. Aluminum is powder coated and steel is painted unless you like brushed stainless steel.
And with me, trying different things is very educational. It's like with the attached image. The wheel itself is solid oak, the discs are
plywood as well as the base (top is plywood and sides are real oak). The uprights on the stand are also solid oak. And now I know
how a lever lifted not only the top weight but the bottom weight as well.

@Da Ewe: Being objective about things, I must say that I genuinely enjoy reading your posts showing the progress of your build.
Once you peel out all the bullschmidt that triggers me to take a shot of rum, it's enjoyable.
I think you've carried on for long enough that anyone who has been here long enough knows your beefs, but it's a lot of repetition and beating a dead horse. Hell, even your youtube video was enjoyable to watch. I know about tapered roller bearings and so do a lot of other people, but even though I thought you might have over-explained it......if I view it through the eyes of someone who has no experience with the bearings you used, then your explanation is absolutely perfect.
If you can do more of that on youtube and then focus your commentary here more on sharing your build progress and explaining what you're doing, I think you'll be tolerated a lot more. We don't need to keep hearing about all my drinking triggers. Okay yeah we get you have some problems with certain people and the way they do things and even though I may never agree with you, it's fine if you believe it - just keep it to yourself or go talk about it on reddit.

I was banned for building and discussing math. In this forum, it was considered that Bessler was a fraud and provided amusement for people who thought otherwise.
Previous threads will show that members liked that I showed my work. They were either banned or left this website. Showing actual work in this website has never been tolerated. Bessler simply was not a fraud. Kind of why I mention his name and his work.

In my world, I recall that 2+2=4 and 4/4=1.

But if I do this: "If it wasn't for AB Hammer trying to send me to Germany to die at the hands of the Nazis for supposedly cheating with his wife and if WaltzCee didn't turn me over to the international police in the Netherlands, then I could have proven that understanding trigonometry is key to building a working wheel. My wheel works and if all you MFers aren't going to figure it out without understanding my math (which is always right) then God's going to burn you all in hell."

Not everyone agrees with you, but get over your hang ups, quit talking about them, and learn some tact. You'd be surprised how just changing the tone of your posts will help redeem a level of basic respect. You can share build progress. Just don't do it with a bunch of airing of grievances and old grudges. Leave that crap out of it. The more you carry on, the more you make yourself a target and I sure enjoy drinking rum at your expense. But I would much prefer basic civility so that I can enjoy my rum at more appropriate times.

Just an FYI, ab hammer said if he was like like the person who molested my brothers, would I please him?
I was banned and he wasn't. In other forums I was told I had to personally please him. That includes this
forum.
He was never banned from a forum. I wanted to have a life in the U.S. He and his friends have prevented that from ever happening.
