I thought we settled the 'agro' typo. You did it again. Are you OK?
You thought? Please.

What purpose do these bots serve. Additionally, are you party to this traffic inflation scheme?

Are you AI probing yourself again, Bill?

You keep making the same typo. Although, it seems more than a typo because you dragged agor95 into your story. So I have to ask,

No, I don't suffer from it, I enjoy it. Now answer my question.

Thanks for answering my question, that explains a lot.

In answer to your question: Given that the web is crawling with bots, it doesn't surprise me there might be huge numbers of them trying to sign up to every forum they can find, all desperately pleading for admin to give them posting rights so they can deliver an advertising message from their universal electromagnetic field god (we're all in this together). I'm flattered you think I might be responsible for this ever-increasing bot activity. However, that flattery is slightly dragged down by you accusing me of being a lizard and a fraud, and probably, eventually, some kind of pizza-loving paedophile if you play to form. There, I beat you to it :D

I see how you edited your above post quotes to make it look like I started the dreaded AI probing conversation, when in fact I was responding to Fletcher's lead. Very poor form.
Fletcher wrote:B. was a product of his time and education, and habits. He would have ingrained subconscious "tells or reads" that AI would see right thru. Nothing would be out of reach or hidden as it probed into yours or his psych.

Did a little AI probing.

Me: How through out history can some people be so religious and with unreligious actions.

ChatGPT: Throughout history, there have been instances where individuals who profess religious beliefs have engaged in actions that appear contrary to the principles and teachings of their respective religions. This phenomenon can be attributed to a variety of factors, including the complexity of human nature, the influence of cultural and societal factors, and the potential for individuals to interpret religious teachings in different ways.

1. Human Nature and Fallibility: Humans are complex beings with a wide range of motivations, desires, and flaws. While someone may claim to be religious, they are not immune to the temptations, biases, and shortcomings that all people possess. Even deeply religious individuals may struggle with their own personal weaknesses and fail to live up to the moral standards set by their faith.

2. Interpretation and Selective Adherence: Religions often have sacred texts or teachings that can be open to interpretation. Different individuals or groups may interpret religious doctrines differently, leading to variations in beliefs and practices. This can result in some individuals emphasizing certain aspects of their religion while neglecting or downplaying others. They may selectively adhere to the parts of their faith that align with their own interests or desires while disregarding those that conflict with their behavior.

3. Cultural and Societal Influences: The cultural and societal contexts in which individuals live can shape their behaviors and actions, sometimes superseding the religious principles they claim to follow. Societal norms, political factors, and historical events can exert significant influence on individuals' actions, even if those actions appear to contradict their religious beliefs. In some cases, people may use religion as a tool to justify or legitimize their actions, even if those actions are not inherently religious in nature.

4. Hypocrisy and Manipulation: Unfortunately, there have been instances throughout history where individuals in positions of religious authority have been hypocritical or manipulative. Some religious leaders or institutions have exploited their positions for personal gain or power, using religion as a means to control or manipulate others. Such individuals may engage in unreligious actions while professing devoutness to their followers.

It is important to note that the actions of a few individuals do not necessarily represent the beliefs or practices of an entire religious group. The majority of religious individuals strive to live according to the principles of their faith and make positive contributions to society. However, it is the presence of these inconsistent individuals that can lead to the perception that some people are religious in name only or exhibit unreligious actions despite their professed beliefs.
What goes around, comes around.

Perpetual motion of the first, second & third order

Post by agor95 »

This may have been done before?

First Order Perpetual Motion path:
A mass falls following a PM path that causes non-net zero torque of the rotating frame it is within.
[Frame self-starts to a low rotation rate]

Second Order Perpetual Motion path:
The mass inertia resists the motion caused by the rotating frame resulting
in an amplification of the non-net zero toque.
[Frames rotation rate is more than one would expect due to gravity]

Third Order Perpetual Motion path:
The rotation rate of the frame now causes acceleration of motion that supplements acceleration due to gravity.
Thus gravity is not required at higher rotation rates.
[Frame rotation rate is more than gravity. Active breaking is required to prevent structural damage]

Why does every discussion forum seem to have someone that fills the hole of online bully or someone who engages in antagonistic behavior in online forums?
ChatGPT: There several reasons why such individuals may exist:

1. Anonymity and Lack of Consequences: Online platforms often provide a certain level of anonymity, allowing individuals to hide their true identities. This anonymity can embolden some people to engage in negative behavior without fear of immediate consequences. They may feel more inclined to act aggressively or bully others due to the perception of reduced accountability.

2. Power and Control: Some individuals derive a sense of power and control from bullying or antagonizing others online. They may intentionally seek out vulnerable targets to exert dominance or to boost their own self-esteem. Engaging in antagonistic behavior allows them to feel a sense of superiority or control over others.

3. Insecurity and Projection: Online bullies may be dealing with their own insecurities, frustrations, or personal issues. By projecting their negative emotions onto others, they attempt to divert attention away from their own challenges and gain a temporary sense of relief or empowerment.

4. Lack of Empathy and Emotional Disconnect: Online interactions can create a sense of detachment from the real-world consequences of one's actions. Some individuals may find it easier to engage in harmful behavior when they do not witness the immediate emotional impact on their targets. This emotional disconnect can contribute to the antagonistic behavior displayed in online forums.

5. Seeking Validation or Attention: Online bullies may crave attention, recognition, or validation from their peers. They may believe that by asserting dominance or engaging in provocative behavior, they can garner attention and establish a reputation within the online community, even if it is based on negative actions.

It's important to remember that online bullying is not acceptable behavior, and platforms should strive to create safe and inclusive environments for their users. Many online communities have guidelines, moderation systems, and reporting mechanisms in place to address such behavior and protect users from online harassment.

Without us, the forum would die. Just like an old loaf of bread on the counter...it gets really stale.

I view all this banter online as cheap talk. People like Da Ewe bring out the worst in me as well as claims of time travel. Everyone is an expert, but after all this...no running wheel.

The tune would change quickly if someone proved a running wheel.

Until such time...its all just talk and dreams of runners. I don't believe in a flat earth for that can be proven, but a running Bessler Wheel can't and will most likely never be proven.

Not even the almighty chatgpt can pull a rabbit out of its supposedly smart hat and prove a runner.

We can put man on the moon and build huge buildings...even accomplish great things, but no one can build a runner. Frustrating as that quest is, the odds are that it was an elaborate prank that many were in on in order to get a chunk of cash for their complicity.

So the fights stem from those that think they know better, vs the hopefuls, vs the realists as myself. Having hope doesn't build working wheels and everyone thinks it's fun to ride the train of hope right off the cliff and have it crash through several stories of the good ship Bessler waiting in the harbor below which at the moment sits somewhere between Galveston, TX and Houston.

If you don't have a belly button, you should not have a seat at any table of a serious discussion.

Stupid bots, whether created by admin or permitted by admin, should be taken outside the discussion and stoned to death!

Death to the bots!!
  • Why should advertisers have to pay for traffic from creations that have no buying power?
  • That extra expense drives up costs for everyone while putting money into the pockets of those who haven't earned it.
Is there a geek in the house who would like to stop changing the subject or mischaracterizing the points?
