Loading Points

Post by agor95 »

Hi JB

I see nothing wrong with a load present at F being captured by a vertical arm at A [top].
Then the load will be present at A pivot point without the mass gaining height.

It will gain speed but not height.

Then the LAWs of levers do their thing.

Then again there is the reverse relative speed as the load at A[bot'] is captured from arm's load point at F [bot'].

Note.
I am thinking of a fork like structure too scoop up the mass as the arm crosses over the path of the inner circle.

P.S. I am seeing Pacman not cake.

You are catching on , however i am not at the "correct handle construction" yet , i have to figure out the small radius skip correctly.
Its all relative.

I am thinking the weight is moving faster than the small radius speed.

So when their paths cross that extra speed can be used to drive the weight up
the smaller radius. In a way the small radius is approaching the weight being supported
during the bot' transition. Therefore there is no need to drop the weight onto the small radius.

There may be a terminology difference here. So I will shut up and read on.

However following the reasoned logic. When the small radius supports the weight.
Then the weight has moved it's load point from the outer radius to the inner radius.
Effectively skipping up vertically in a way like the load was skipped vertically up at the top.
