VanDusen, I would like to welcome you to the BesslerWheel board. Your name sounds like a Dutch background. Your messages are interesting, but I'm confused as to their meaning? So a few questions...

Your first post is titled 'A WORKING WHEEL' and you ask 'DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS THAT I CAN ANSWER??' Does this infer that you have a working wheel and are inviting us to ask questions about it?

In your second post you say 'IF YOU ARE ABLE TO PUT A PRODUCT ON THE MARKET'. By this do you mean you have something you would like help putting on the market? Or are you looking for a product that is ready to be put on the market?

And for my curiousity, who are you? Where are you from? Why are you here? How can I help you?

One thing I very much agree with, this would be a very interesting market.

First things first, you should get a patent. If you already have one then the main thing is done. It insures that you have complete control of the invention so you can legally allow or charge anyone for using your idea. I've only briefly looked into patents here in Canada (I'm a fellow canuck). I know an inventor who lives in Calgary who has several various things patented (no OU machines or anything like that), I might be able put you in contact with him if you like so you know what the process might take. After that you should either drum up some interest with a local television channel to report on it to get to as many local people as possible who could be interested in investing in the idea, obviously being in close proximity to you. Then either people will try to contact you or you'll have a better chance of setting up meetings with prominent business people in Calgary. That's my advice. Even if your objective is to share it with the world for free in the end, I think depending on the design of your invention, you should at first charge for production to get the investors. Congrats, and good luck.
Ryan

PS. I also used to work at a local tv station here in Vancouver, I could give you some names for you to talk to if you want.

A case against patents

138 pages. An eye opener.
Not knowing is not the problem. It is the knowing of what just isn't so.

It is our responsibilities, not ourselves, that we should take seriously.

The inventor in Calgary I know had one design infringed upon by some other company producing it, and he has the opportunity to sue if he already has or not I haven't heard but not only would he be intitled to have them stop producing it, he could claim loss of income- damages from their infringment and recieve monetary reimbursment from it. It's true it would take court time (or a settlement), and lawyers costs. But he's at least retained his patent rights.

In the end it's obviously up to the individual, and what they decide, so Vandu take all the info you get and make an informed decision based on what you feel is right.

FROM VANDU
I WAS JUST THINKING THAT IF THERE IS SOMEONE IN EDMONTON THAT IS IN THE FORUM, THAT THEY COULD TAKE A LOOK AT THE WHEEL AND LET THE OTHERS IN THE FORUM NO WHAT THEY THINK, OR OTHERWISE SAY WHAT THEY WANT. THEY WOULD HAVE TO SIGN A NON-DISCLOSER!
JUST A THOUGHT!!

May I wish you every success with your working wheel.

It's understandable that you don't want to disclose anything at the moment. As for taking the next step, take your time to research all your options. There has been a lot of threads on this discussion board debating the uncertainties that confronts you. You should go back and look over them, they may raise issues that you haven't thought about.

So how does it feel to witness true perpetual motion and be the inventor of such a machine?

Good luck!

A TIP FROM VANDU 9.8
DO NOT US A RIM ON YOUR OUTSIDE CIRCUMFERENCE,THIS ONLY EQUALS, (0 TO 180, AND 180 TO 360 ). FROM ANY POINT IN 360, THE RIM ONLY EQUALS YOUR + & - 'S.
USE A SMALL HUB, IT WILL GIVE YOU MORE LEVERAGE!
