[ Interesting Images and Best Practice ]

Post by agor95 »

Just a heads up here folks.

When you scan the image archive and you find images that are interesting.

You can click on the image with the right mouse button and copy image link.
Below are two copied links that I have grouped together in this post.

Then I used the image [picture icon] above in the edit page. selecting the link each time helps.

In effect giving them an image tag front and back

This means this post refers to and existing image!
Saving the image on your desktop and then attaching to the post creates a new image entry id.

Another heads up is too place a posts here.
The image archive gets hit with many image link posts.
I am going to post many future links. That means as you post new images they go automatically into the archive.

So posting in the image archive means it is not as clean as it could be.

Explaining why you find a set of images interesting is a considerate act rather than being basically irritating.

For me there are two overview interesting aspects of the image archive.

Image ID slots are create when an image is attached to a post or tried to be posted and fails.
So 'to big' or 'connection lost'. These appear as the word 'image'. You will see them in the image archive.

The interesting thing is some good thought provoking images that existed were deleted from time to time over the last 20 years.
So either the owner, admin or third-party hacker has removed them?

The other is this low level linking to images might make visible images that are no longer connected to any posts.
In effect those that can not be navigated to by normal current means.

P.S. Bessler Wheels turn at a ferocious rate!

You should have Scott 'sticky' the Image Archive to the top of the forum, otherwise it is soon going to be buried under new posts... ;-)
