Update

Although I am working on the maths still !

There is some preparing for other steps. Those are too start the technical drawings and the sourcing of parts.

So I have found a wood workshop and clutch bearing supplier.

The maths is a mash-up of Cartesian and Polar coordinates.
Also 2d-planar projections and 3d-vector rotations.

So P.E. can be covered with 2 dimensions and K.E. is covered by 3 dimension vectors.

Well it's over 12 months from the time this concept was disclosed.

Therefore it is in the public domain.

The implementation design fits into a 40 by 40 by 20 cm volume.

Validation of a theory.

Having a theory is only theoretical without validation.

One has too have a path to a physical build.

The image below is a structure design to be made in wood.

The figure joint outer case is 40 by 40 by 20 cm. The wood is 2 cm think.

Internal end paddles are 3 mm think cross plywood and can only rotate counter clockwise as you look down from above at the top arm.

There is more to this so some time thinking it through is recommended.

The intension is too create a device that can be shipped.

So a basic frame [cage] would be better that a lot of wood!.

I hear you and if I know the stresses or go for bulk then that is a simple way out.
There is a chance I will knock some wood together to do just that for a stand.

However the struts should create a sturdy and light cage frame for shipping.
But I admit it is more involved.

Study is painfully slow but here is the first basic image.

Each of the four legs have a foot that have a joint so they can pivot
anti-clockwise as the main hub rotates clockwise.

Although what you see is a flat static image the model is dynamic and in 3 dimensions.

As the device rotates clockwise the mass 'A' will drop towards you; When I have the algebra figured out.

This Geometric Algebra as the ability to do partial differentiation automatically. That is amassing to me.

So there is going to be many mistakes but with time and effort we should have a realistic dynamic model.

P.S. The leg sections sweep a rotation disc. The four feet sweep their own secondary disc [wheels]

Hello All

Here is a simple 3D model that is the base of developments so far.

You have an image on the post and a HTML zipped up web page.

If you choose to open up the file you will have a clockwise rotating 'Thing'.
You can drag the model to view from different angles.

The deranged spider has mobility in the main four legs by going clockwise.
I am working on the mobility of the feet, second sections, that will rotate counter clockwise using the legs as rotation axis.

The sweep on the first and second black lines constitute the wheels in the original concept.

You will notice I am using 90 angles at this stage. This will help me check the Projective [Plane] Geometric Algebra.

This will change to the other angles configurations later hopefully.

This is another deranged spider with rotation of the feet second section.

When you watch the web paged you can appreciate the variation is torque.
This action is symmetrical in nature. We of cause are looking for asymmetry.

I am just exploring some of the configurations.

This looks like the swinging should cause a rotation clockwise then back again.

That is with control motor rotation and a hub free to turn.

There are many configuration options. Other before me should have explored this ground of study.

Hi

I must admit the I.T. part of this project is taking up less time.
There is more time being spent on the fabrication and Blender study.

Also I have been clearing out old material from this site were possible.
And working with members to create a dynamic I.T. workshop in the form
of my Private Forum.

Dynamic means after working on an initiative the results are transferred out the
door and the workshop it cleared. The only thing in the workshop are I.T. tools
and a knowledge base.

Some of my old content has been transfer out to my external website.

I am a persons who believes in a their word and integrity.
That is the only way to develop trust.

I have an issue here currently with both relating to the 'Terms of Use' - sorry to say.
