Re: PROCESS RESTART
Hi Shadow.
I'm not sure what you mean by "my ideal trajectory".
The only thing i can think of, that i think to be ideal, is this that i played around with a couple of years ago.
It might have nothing to do with what you are referring to, but it might be worth giving it some thought.
This movement, which i thought to be the ideal trajectory of the "buyers", might allow us to buy something that gives us the desired effect. Bearing in mind, it is looking more and more likely that we need to buy next to nothing, because the less you buy with them, the more efficient they are.
They shift the COM from just after 9 to just after 3, which obviously looks promising if you give it a good shove, but it always slows down, because the distance after 9 is greater than the distance after 3. The wheel is swinging the weights, which is exactly what most of us are observing with all our weird and wonderful ways of shifting the COM 180°, and we want the shifting weights to turn the wheel.
Therefore we need to either add something that causes these to shift earlier, or add these to something that causes the wheel to turn, hence calling these the buyers.

If you can get them to buy the shifting of Sam's rollers, you'll get a big thumbs up for that.
I'm off to the big city this morning and will be back sometime in the afternoon, so if you mean something completely different don't be surprised if i don't reply for a while.

You're talking nonsense again RH, you bloody idiot.Robinhood46 wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 7:21 am because the distance after 9 is greater than the distance after 3.
It's not the fact that the distance is greater, it's more the fact that they are both "after".
I think????

I'm not the only one who is an idiot, Your translator is too, but probably not as much.
It's tomorrow I'm going into town, not today, lol.
Sam, it's not, "the little one", as in "your last child". It's the last one, as in "the last beer", or "one for the road".
I definitely didn't post that photo, and your translator shouldn't be accusing me of doing such things.
Why doesn't the translator know the difference between "this is" and "it is" ?
It's all good fun.
You will need to give me a bit more info Shadow, because i don't know what you are referring to. I haven't been able to post images for a while because of a compatibility or size problem, so it was probably a while back.

My current focus is:
One wheel with self-supporting eccentric,( no outer roller of excentration).
It remains for me to find the way to direct the excentration!

Hello everyone,
Has the system presented below ever been tested?
It is a derivative of Buzshaw or vice versa!
Too many elements to be managed by Algodoo so no SIM.

Impossible to turn the elevator down under Algodoo!
I’m thinking about a construction based on recovering old bikes for a lower cost.
I made tests with elements of chain transmission which proved to be prometeurs, remains to be seen if there will be enough torque for the transmission of synchronization and a surplus to be exploited.
To follow, but it may be long for the realization.

Re: PROCESS RESTART
Salut Shadow
Salutations
Mick
Hi Shadow
Unfortunately, the right hand 16 weights will not overbalance the left hand 9 weights due to the
2:1 gear ratio.
The ratio keeps it timed correctly which is of course necessary.
If the right hand chain path was to curve inwards to increase
it's length it would allow more weights to be carried.
However, the weights would not all be acting vertically which
may also be a problem
Interesting take on the buzzsaw design though, I like it

Re: PROCESS RESTART
Bonjour Mickegg,
Hi Mickegg,
I agree with you on this design!
I am calculating the best diameters so as not to lose too much torque by the synchronization transmission and the best diameter for the engine torque.
The number of weights on the descending chain is not limited in my opinion is must be double the rising chain, I must find the right ratio quite to stoker weights if necessary.
I made inconclusive tests with the Buzshaw, I had not understood that the diameter of the pinions had its importance in the torque transfer!
