Need help with Ideas and remain Confidential

Post by coretux »

Hello everyone, I’m new here.

I decided to make a new topic here as per Fletchers recommendation. I hope this is ok.

I need help with ideas and designs. I already have ideas and designs in mind. I just need them to be made and of course tested. I need help with someone who knows how to use CAD software and CAE simulation software. And familiarity and access to a 3D printer.

But most importantly I would like to keep any and all communication about my ideas, projects and designs private and confidential.

And most likely talking on a private messaging app.

If this is possible for anyone please let me know.

By the looks of it, it might be beneficial for you start learning some new skills. Simulations are a good start....the most bang for your buck IMO.

Good luck with your search and your way forward.

Welcome to the forum Coretux. I would highly recommend, if you don't know how already, learn how to find the center of mass of your designs before any build attempts through 360 degrees. If you have a design that will always maintain more weight on one side than the other, then build one mechanism and see if it performs as you visualize it.

Best of luck

are you familiar with CAD and CAE simulation software?

Do you know what would be the best CAD and CAE software for beginners, easy to use?

Algodoo is a good start for simulations. It has its problems, but if you are aware of them, it is a useful tool. WM2D is better, and easier to learn IMO, but is not as readily available.

Cad can be difficult to learn. I am not good at CAD, but there are a few people here that are.
I learned Blender, which is easy, and can be used for CAD with some difficulty. I used to use it to design parts for 3d printing. I use an old version of Artcam for designing flat parts for CNC routing. It is super simple, but has limitations. I have started to learn Freecad, but am thinking I might switch to Fusion 360 as I am having difficulties with the CAM section of it. I do not know what you would learn for Cad Gravity simulations though.

Does anyone here use tinkercad?
