While looking for some internet source of the claim I found this....
That was such a huge image and maybe a poor choice so I've edited it out of here. In one of my first posts I made a reference to my uncle, Arnold Young. I also mentioned that he worked with plastics and had several patents. Since then I've looked into the matter and couldn't find any reference to patents in his name. I was sure he told me that he had some patents and specifically one on a machine used for the sandblasting of small parts, but I can't find any reference to that. I also thought he mentioned to me that he designed the ejection seat for the canadian air force. My point is I have no way to substantiate those claims; my uncle is gone.

My older brother has accomplished quite a bit. I know because I've experienced a lot of it with him. He's done graduate work at mit. His philosophy is, 'don't rest on your laurels.' Maybe put in other words, 'don't live in the past.' My brother has a lot of trophys. He keeps them in a footlocker in his attic. He's not as interested in what he's done as he is in what he plans on doing.

I'd like to talk about what I've accomplished but there's not too much to say. My friend's dog's breath smells like private parts. What's it all mean?

Gene

ps: My uncle also told me that he had a car that he raced in bonneville called the yellow banana. I did see a yellow car he had on a trailer when he was on the way back from bonneville to upstate new york. Maybe he stole it.

jim kelly, imho your working wheel is a sham and Ralph has been duped.

SEAWASP,
Since u expressed an interest, my current attempt with the toothpick force looks like all the tiny levers will jam against the 1/16" steel cables.
Haven't finished though...

Jim, you obviously get my point... all these matters are trivial compared to a working wheel design - yet all I seem to hear from you are trivial matters. That doesn't make any sense.

Who you are and what you've done is irrelevant to me if you can not support your working wheel claim. If you do have a working design then I can't understand why you would want to dilly-dally around. Again, that doesn't make any sense.

Time is short - at best.

FELLOWS, At least I hope you are fellows, do you honestly think that I can be bullied and cajoled into showing you prints and plans? robert if you can't read ,I really feel sorry for you. I am old and Ive been all around the ,pee pot looking for the handle. We have a winter place in Arizona and a year around/ summer place in Indian River.Mi. I had more employees to worry about than any of you probly are acquaited with. Out of 300 some odd truck driver ,who were in the minority of the employees, all of them had better manners and more intelligents than any of you show.

Sorry that I got in a hurry and miss typed a lot of words, but none of my employees ,even when they were making up a phoney excuse; never went on a fantasy ship voyage, nor did they start their engines with toothpicks, nor have daily bad bowell days. A few of them did drop dead on the job. most were between 35 and 50 years old.

Well, that's not very helpful Wheeler.

Jim, what good are your 'prints and plans' if, as you say, you've forgotten how to build your wheel? Then again, what do you need to remember if you've got 'prints and plans'? I have to say that it just doesn't add up in any shape or form - something seems very screwy with all of this.

How can I cajole or bully you into showing something that you don't have - because you've forgotten it? Perhaps a prod or a push might help you to remember? I want you to remember.

PS: Jim, your employees were mindful of what they said to you probably because they wanted to keep their jobs. I'm not beholding to you for my dinner and rent, therefore I feel a little more free to express my honest thoughts and feelings without fear or threat.
