John Collins Working Wheel Design

Post by quercus virginiana »

Instead of having posts made to all the different threads, I thought that a new one here where everyone would have access, would be the best way to handle it.

Certainly, John Collins' emerging/ evolving/ impending?, claim of having not only a working design, but to have actually decoded Bessler's plans for the original design, deserves a thread all it's own.

Everyone who did not derive the plan first, will no doubt be disappointed at John Collin's success, but try to remember how Bessler must have felt at not achieving his ultimate goals in the first place over 300 years ago.

If anyone "deserves" the credit, it is John Collins, for having uncovered the story and pursued it to the end. We've all had a lot of fun, and the world will begin to reap the material benefits of this wonderful rediscovery.

What !?

What design !? Is it documented somewhere!? Physically build, working, a video posted on the net !?

If so, then I must see it, post it here !

To my knowledge John has never claimed to have a working model. He has claimed to be working towards that end, just like the rest of us.

Quercus virginiana seems to have a special interest in annoying John. I think it's time Pinocchio told us who he really is and why he's decided to come back. Come on woody, fess up.

Pinnochio? What's that about?

It's an emerging/ evolving claim and I think he has nailed it.

How is giving praise annoying?

Put that in front of your post and I think it will not lead to confusion :

I (quercus) think that he John has a working prototype. That is my personal opinion and not necessarily the case .

Oh, and I also believe he has something .

I don't think so LustInBlack - there's a more fundamental issue here that will come to light in due course ;)

Have I stepped into some sort of domestic altercation?

I thought that from my previous words that it was an opinion that I was voicing. Maybe it did sound a little too enthusiastic.

But, John Collins is not just another poster...

I don't think he would suddenly come out and start explaining his progress with such force if he wasn't sure of it himself.

This is what I base my opinion on. OK?

Perhaps you have a blind spot, I'll repeat:

I think it's time Pinocchio told us who he really is and why he's decided to come back. Come on woody, fess up.

Hi Querc, welcome to the forum. Just curious, how is that dial-up access account working for you? You know, I have the morals of a crustacean, so I have made sure that information like the originating IP address of posts is available to all members of the board. You can read about it in the Terms of Use. Oh, but I'm sure you wouldn't have signed up if you hadn't already read and agreed to them.

Patrick,

I know where you are coming from, but the Dial up IP is from Washington. That would be a pretty long off-post extension.

Patrick nailed it, although it's not just about those little acorns ;) I think baby Robert deserves a good spanking, if for no reason other than being dopey - LOL
