I don't know the situation where you live but here in Woodbridge,VA the
illegals are a real problem......soon to come your way.
Below are views on the illegal immigration as expressed by Charlie
Daniels
in his usual 'PC' style. Way to go Charlie, I couldn't have said it
better myself!
Mexican Standoff
I don't know how everybody else feels about it, but to me I think
Hispanic
people in this country, legally or illegally, made a huge public
relations
mistake with their recent demonstrations.
I don't blame anybody in the world for wanting to come to the United
States
of America, as it is a truly wonderful place. But when the first thing
you
do when you set foot on American soil is illegal it is flat out wrong
and I
don't care how many lala land left heads come out of the woodwork and
start
trying to give me sensitivity lessons.
I don't need sensitivity lessons; in fact I don't have anything
against
Mexicans! I just have something against criminals and anybody who
comes
into this country illegally is a criminal and if you don't believe it
try
coming into America from a foreign country without a passport and see
how
far you get.
What disturbs me about the demonstrations is that it's tantamount to
saying,
"I am going to come into your country even if it means breaking your
laws
and there's nothing you can do about it."
It's an "in your face" action and speaking just for me I don't like it
one
little bit and if there were a half dozen pairs of gonads in
Washington
bigger than English peas it wouldn't be happening. Where are you, you
bunch
of lily livered, pantywaist, forked tongued, sorry excuses for
defenders of
The Constitution? Have you been drinking the water out of the Potomac
again?
And even if you pass a bill on immigration it will probably be so
porkladen
and watered down that it won't mean anything anyway. Besides, what
good
is
any other law going to do when you won't enforce the ones on the books
now?
And what ever happened to the polls guys? I thought you folks were the
quintessential finger wetters. Well you sure ain't paying any
attention
to
the polls this time because somewhere around eighty percent of
Americans
want something done about this mess, and mess it is and getting bigger
everyday.
This is no longer a problem; it is a dilemma and headed for being a
tragedy.
Do you honestly think that what happened in France with the Muslims
can't
happen here when the businesses who hire these people finally run out
of
jobs and a few million disillusioned Hispanics take to the streets?
If you, Mr. President, Congressmen and Senators, knuckle under on this
and
refuse to do something meaningful it means that you care nothing for
the
kind of country your children and grandchildren will inherit.
But I guess that doesn't matter as long as you get re-elected. Shame
on
you.
One of the big problems in America today is that if you have the nerve
to
say anything derogatory about any group of people (except Christians)
you
are going to be screamed at by the media and called a racist, a bigot
and
anything else they can think of to call you..
Well I've been pounded by the media before and I'm still rockin' and
rollin'
and when it comes to speaking the truth I fear not. And the truth is
that
the gutless, gonad-less, milksop politicians are just about to sell
out
the
United States of America because they don't have the intestinal
fortitude to
stand up to the face reality.
And reality is that we would never allow any other group of people to
have
12 million illegals in this country and
turn around and say, "Oh it's ok,
ya'll can stay here if you'll just allow us to slap your wrist."
And I know that some of you who read this column are saying "Well
what's
wrong with that?" I'll tell you what's wrong with it. These people
could be
from Mars as far as we know. We don't know who they are, where they
are
or
what they're up to and the way the Congress is going we're not going
to.
Does this make sense? Labor force you say? We already subsidize
corporate
agriculture as it is, must we subsidize their labor as well?
If these people were from Haiti or if they were from Somalia or
Afghanistan
would we be so fast to turn a blind eye to them? I think not.
All the media shows us are pictures of hard working Hispanics who have
crossed the border just to try to better their life. They don't show
you
pictures of the Feds rounding up members of MS 13, the violent gang
who
came
across the same way the decent folks did. They don't tell you about
the
living conditions of the Mexican illegals some fat cat hired to pick
his
crop.
I want to make two predictions.
No. 1: This situation is going to grow and fester until it erupts in
violence
on our streets while the wimps in Washington drag their toes in the
dirt
and try to figure how many tons of political hay they can make to the
acre.
No 2: Somebody is going to cross that border with some kind of weapon
of
mass destruction and set it off in a major American city after which
there
will be a backlash such as this country has never experienced and the
Capitol building in Washington will probably tilt as Congressmen and
Senators rush to the other side of the issue.
I don't know about you but I would love to see just one major
politician
stand up and say, "I don't care who I make mad and I don't care how
many
votes I lose, this is a desperate situation and I'm going to lead the
fight
to get it straightened out."
I don't blame anybody for wanting to come to America, but if you don't
respect our immigration laws why should you respect any others.
And by the way, this is America and our flag has stars and stripes.
Please
get that other one out of my face.

A friend of mine, Frosty Woolridge, set out to organize an event a few months ago, called: "The 21st century Paul Revere ride". In the end, only 4 people including myself, seemed willing to give up the recumbent splendor of our 'lazy boys' for a pro-active, cross country educational tour on specially equipped bicycles. Frosty is, at this moment, seeking to reorganize the event using motorcycles....

re: Osama's Message to America!
Well, the truth of the illegal immigration "problem" is that about 95% of the Mexicans and Central Americans entering the US do manage to find gainful employment. Most find work in the service sectors or in construction where they usually are forced to work for substandard pay.
Despite the mid-term election "noise" coming out of Washington about how something is "going to be done" about this problem...don't believe any of it. The Republicans want the cheap labor that the illegals provide, the Democrats are eager to gain millions of new voters (mostly Democratic, of course), and the Christian churches are in no hurry to have their sparsely filled pews further emptied by any sort of serious deportation program.
I think most Americans do, in fact, want the illegals to be integrated into our society legally so that they can start paying some more taxes. Of course, no one wants the criminal element here that should be sitting it out in a Mexican prison.
There were some interesting developments over in Washington today.
Apparently, the Director of the CIA, Porter Goss, abruptly resigned and his resignation was promptly accepted by Bush!
So far, there is no "official" explanation of why the man who is the first to meet the President in the morning is suddenly leaving. There are a bunch of rumors floating about that involve an ongoing investigation of the CIA, but we still have almost no details of the resignation. Look for this to be a big story in the coming days.
Meanwhile, I tanked up on regular gasoline yesterday night and noticed that the price was about 7 cents per gallon higher than the price I paid only a few days earlier. I think the potential exists, especially with an "incident" taking place in the Persian Gulf, for the price to finally level off somewhere around $4 USD per gallon of regular in the USA this summer.

Spoken like a true spokesman.....are you sure you're simply the mild mannered Ken of besslerwheel forum fame that we've all come to know and love?I think most Americans do, in fact, want the illegals to be integrated into our society legally so that they can start paying some more taxes.
Most americans? Hey, let's legalize drugs too! Those druggy freaks need to be paying 50% of their hard earned money to a runaway leviathan like the rest of we dopes!
And most americans approve of Bush Iraq war fiasco I suppose? Look, I don't blame immigrants for wanting to be here...the incentive is enormous.....I do however, blame greedy corporations who won't pay their own compatriots a decent wage, so they import the slave labor here. You want a melting pot, Ken? You got it! It's melting indeed, largely because we no longer have standards....no....THAT would be discrimination. Speak english? Nein! That would be 'Verboten'! Drive on the RIGHT side of the road? Pass a driver's test? Again, NEIN!
Der fuhrers wouldn't have it!
We're beat down by 'the man'....such that the standard of living is 'melting' before our eyes.
A thick disgusting coating of corporate sleaze floats boisterously.....frothing at the top of your particular brand of 'melting pot'. Sadly, at the rate things are going....what you giddily refer to as "most americans" will soon be the case. Two classes....classically feudal....the greedy, contented rich....and the obligated minion serf class.
Both thoroughly compromised.....one big stew of a melting pot mess.
Of course, no one wants the criminal element here that should be sitting it out in a Mexican prison.
By using the term 'no one' I trust you are referring to yourself. Because it's obvious that the situation we face as a nation, as 'everyone' knows.....was brought about by 'someone'....or someoneS.....those being the power elite whose collusion with greedy corporations opened the floodgates to this country indiscriminately. All this during a critical moment in the 'war' on terror.....and the 'war' on drugs.
'No one' wants them here? Open your eyes. The war on terror, drugs...etc. is a really a war on the last bastion of middle class, thinking, feeling, and CARING America. And such criminal element is a necessity in the minds of those sleazebags who will, at the right time, need them to institute their particularly favored brand of 'Chaotic' social improvement.

re: Osama's Message to America!
Well, when it comes to illegal aliens, while I can overlook the means they used to enter the USA due to the enormous economic suffering which motivated them to make the move, I do not think there is any excuse, once they are here, for breaking our other laws. If they truly want to become integrated into American society and to earn full legal citizenship, then they have to work hard and follow the rules like everybody else.
Yes, there are some corporations doing some really unethical things out there in the name of short term profits. Sometimes when the economy worsens in a country, the leaders of those companies which are struggling to survive will begin to "bend" the rules in an effort to fatten up the quarterly balance sheet. Even other corporations which are financially secure may turn to unscrupilous tactics to enrich themselves and their shareholders further.
It's like Bessler wrote in AP..."Greed is an evil root". It's as true today as it was in the 18th century. Hopefully, the day will come when the moral and ethical standards of this world will rise to the point where all individuals and groups of individuals will be able to conduct themselves in the best interest of the entire planet. They will know how to police themselves. Unfortunately, until then, all we can do is depend upon various state and federal agencies to try to monitor the situation and take corrective action whenever someone's behavior starts to cross the line.

re: Osama's Message to America!
The results of an interesting poll just became available.
Apparently, 72% of our troops in Iraq think they should be out of the country completely by the end of this year and 1 in 4 think we should be out NOW!
At the moment Congress is trying to past a spending bill to pour another $70 billion USD into the "war" in Iraq. It's been guesstimated that, by the time Bush's term as President is over with, the direct costs of the Iraq invasion will cost somewhere between $700 and $800 billion USD. Of course, that does not include the long term health/rehabilitation costs for the thousands of soldiers who have been wounded. All in all, the final cost (if there is such a thing!) will probably be between $1 and $2 trillion USD! That would make this one of the most expensive military actions in the history of the USA.
Meanwhile, the Iranian government just announced that it has managed to enrich uranium beyond the concentration (about 4%) needed to run a nuclear power plant. But, they admit that they still do not have it concentrated enough (at least 80%) to make nuclear weapons.
I've seen several interviews with the Iranian Ambassador to the UN who continues to steadfastly claim that Iran only wants nuclear technology for "peaceful" power generation purposes. When asked why Iran is developing intermediate, multi-warhead, ballistic missiles, he suddenly gets very defensive and says that Iran has a "right" to such "defensive" missiles just as any other country has. I guess we are all supposed to believe that they would only load the warheads in those missiles up with conventional explosive so that they could blow up a few buildings in neighboring countries. In other words, they would spend millions of dollars USD to blow up a few buildings. Somehow, that does not seem to represent too much of a threat...

Yeah, and I guess WE are all supposed to believe that Zionist Israel and her puppet, the American Government are going to Illuminate the globe with their greedy, evil concept of world peace?
Might makes right? That's what Rome and Hitler thought too....What a sad hype.

Christ said that the greatest world threat ever known would be established in the end times....it's number 666, that of Solomon, whose geometric seal, a HEXagram expression of Solomon's number is well known and used around the world in government and occult circles.
Though, they would have you believe the threat comes from Arabs everywhere. Who will stand up for you when it's YOUR turn to incur the beast's wrath? We are all already feeling the sting of it's wrath.....Just as they will feel the sting of God's wrath poured out upon the nations.
I ask you,
Who will stand up for you?

re: Osama's Message to America!
Those predictable responses are getting boring Mitch. Repeating the same old rerun conspiracy theories just isn't interesting anymore and it's making you look even more loony - if that's possible. You really need to find some new material and broaden your palette.
re: Osama's Message to America!
I would hear from those other than the 'devil's advocate'.....
Everyone, do you find these truths as I have shared them with you, 'boring'?
If such information can truly become boring to you....then I would be obliged to take my leave.
Bill, as for 'broadening my palette'......I have found the narrow road and though I stumble daily, my feet are set upon the path to life.
I have no desire to again walk the broad road to destruction upon which many, whose experienced palettes coupled with inexperienced and carnal minds, would lead them to finish their repertoire with a taste of the second death.
Who gathered here will respond in the affirmative that they reject Christ and the Holy spirit for all time?
Let Him speak and receive God's blessing.
God bless,

I'm happy to bow to the majority opinion Mitch, however, it's just too spooky hearing you claim that if people reject you then they must also reject, "Christ and the Holy spirit for all time" - LOL
Winkle, I don't despise Mitch at all and I can't say that I'd like him to leave. I just think his rhetorical circles have become closed and boring. If he hasn't anything more interesting to say, then so be it. But I think it IS boring of him to make the same points over and over again like some pre-programmed robot with a bad ROM. Perhaps I just expect too much.

Where would you rather live, Israel or US or Arab world?
I want to withdraw from the war NOW.
Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting different results. Of course I was referring to the war on poverty signed into law by good old Pres. Johnson in the 60's. We could have 10's of Iraq wars on the money spent on that with only a modest decrease in the proverty level under Pres. Bush.

re: Osama's Message to America!
Well, something interesting was announced this morning with regard to the Iranian "situation".
As everybody probably knows by now, the UN Security Council is about to begin debating the matter of Iran's obstinate refusal to bow to the pressure of the global community that it cease all uranium enrichment now. Most likely, the Security Council, with Russia and China abstaining, will pass a resolution that would make it legally binding that Iran cease and desist its activities. When that does not happen, then there will probably be a slow and gradual escalation of sanctions and, as a last resort, a threat of military action with quess who providing the "action".
Apparently, this is all starting to spook the Iranian government and their President Amadinejad just sent a letter to Bush that makes some sort of "offer" to avert the Security Council from passing the US sponsored resolution against Iran.
Of course, that letter will be dismissed by the White House as just a delaying tactic to "buy" the Iranians more time while they feverishly continue working on their first nuclear weapon. The Iranians have been watching what has happened in the past few years to neighboring Afghanistan and Iraq...two countries without the "bomb" and also what happened to North Korea, another member of the "axis of evil", who does now possess the bomb. The message is clear to the Iranians...get a nuke and get it as quickly as possible if you want to greatly lessen the risk of invasion by the West!
So what could possibly be in the letter Bush received? No exact details have been released yet, but, most likely, it will again emphasize that the Iranian nuclear program is solely for peaceful power production purposes and that they would only be too happy to allow the IAEA inspectors to look wherever they want and whenever they want and perform any tests they want to verify to the world that Iran has no bomb grade uranium anywhere.
It sounds nice, but Iran is a big country and they could have centrifuges hidden away in natural caves whose entrances have been cleverly concealed and which are, at this very moment, busily enriching the amount of uranium needed to achieve a critical mass in their first nuke.
Also, it's quite possible that, even after they do achieve some nuclear weapons, that they, like Israel did, would not "officially" announce it to the world! They could just leave some doubt in everybody's minds while they kept the untested warheads in storage...just in case tensions really started to rise in the region and they needed to begin loading them into the warheads of their intermediate range missiles. Since they have already obtained plans for working nuclear devices from Pakistan, there would be no need to actually test any of those nuclear devices.
Then, maybe a decades or two from now, they might even announce to the world that sure they had them all along, but did not want to upset everybody by announcing that fact. By then, they could, like Israel and India, have hundreds of nukes and any attempt to invade Iran could result in disaster for all involved.
Well, I guess in the long run, this whole matter really boils down to whether or not the West can "live" with the reality of a nuclear armed Iran. Right now, I do not think it can...

On 7/6/06, I found, in any overbalanced gravity wheel with rotation rate, ω, axle to CG distance d, and CG dip angle φ, the average vertical velocity of its drive weights is downward and given by:
Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ
Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ
