Yes. From a dynamic universe though, a universe driven by difference and symmetry IMO. The big bang can lead to imaginative misconceptions. Where did the point of orgin begin? If you check with physicists it started at all points. You, me, the tree and that planet millions of light years away. Never actually at a definable point in space. I would argue then, never at a definable point in time as well. Time is real but it is also the product of difference. The big question to ask is if all that is was compressed at one time, why did it uncompress? If there is a time, there is a place. Yet, again, physicists state there was no actual point place of space where it all began, it began from all points. I think this conception is right, or close to being right except the idea of a first beginning in the measure of time is wrong.So what is gravity? Is it the force which tries to bind everything together.

Jon, I haven't finished it yet and I'm going to be 'off air' for a couple of weeks. I'll get back to work on it when I return, in between helping various member sof the family out!

What is more Important to JC than finishing his deciphered wheel?
Painting
Gardening
Helping family members
All of the Above
My impression of what gravity is was formed in grade school. It is a magnetism that objects (mass) have for each other.
The way to have a working wheel is to continually knock the supports out from under one side of the wheel.
Can't be done.

re: Gravity as a conservative force
Gravity will remain a mystery for some time more to come as we continue to merely describe it with various analogies. But, describing and explaining a phenomenon are two different things. So far, all of the physics we have concerning gravity only mathematically describes it, with varying degrees of accuracy, and does nothing to explain it. If we could explain it, then we would be able to, at will, generate and control this all pervasive force of nature. But, that day will come...of this I have no doubt.
John...
Part of me wishes that you would just post the design you have so that we can all go to work evaluating it. But, you need to set your own priorities and we must respect them. I look forward to, finally, seeing what you have uncovered and I am sincerely hoping that you have found the secret of Bessler's wheels. That would be something which could greatly intensify research into free energy devices and I can not think of it coming at a better time in history.

On 7/6/06, I found, in any overbalanced gravity wheel with rotation rate, ω, axle to CG distance d, and CG dip angle φ, the average vertical velocity of its drive weights is downward and given by:
Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ
Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ

1712 Everyone can have their own opinion but attacking John is a little unfair. I've been at this for over ten years now. Right now I have a very good design/concept that I thought I would have done in January. My brother just had a boy which makes me a first time uncle. I have taxes I have to file for. I had to repaint part of my car. I have to earn a living which takes up a part of my time. I have to sleep. I have to by things like food. I have to have some recreational time or else I would get very depressed. Fabrication takes a lot of quality time. Life has detours.

Maybe 1712 can offer some insight into his own fabrication and research efforts (or anything else about himself for that matter) rather than acting like a useless pest only interested in pumping others for information.
Of the 7 posts made so far by this member, most appear to be attacks on John and the others are statements along the lines of "can't be done". Sure reminds me of an ex-member (Robert) who had similar terminal self-control issues...

1712,
I am attempting to limit my postings on this forum, but some statements I cannot pass up without adding my two cents worth. Your following quote is one of them.

It can be done and this is the only input you have ever posted that is worth considering.The way to have a working wheel is to continually knock the supports out from under one side of the wheel.

re: Gravity as a conservative force
It is my opinion that gravity can be greatly manipulated. Many of those working in the area where it is necessary to have more gravitational pull or less gravitational pull, can change it at will.some things we do in high school labs and in college labs display this ability, but few of the students ever remember about it.

re: Gravity as a conservative force
Everything that exists can be done. Gravity exists, so it can be reproduced or modified..
Universe has been created!? .. Then it can be recreated.
Time has been created!? .. It can be recreated or modified.
IF one considers the variables at play in those systems; those can be modified at creation time to lead to different systems.
It can be done.
Those who think the contrary are "naive" and revolve around one single plane in their empty 1D mind.
1712, I suggest you find another hobby, it's too complex for you.

Lib that is a very powerful statement!Everything that exists can be done
