What to do about Ken

re: What to do about Ken
Ralph if Ken was poisoned to the degree that it affected his awarness wouldn't it show in his reasoning across the whole? If you check how well and how fast he responds in general to the posts I referenced you'll see his reasoning is quite intact. Unless Ken's reasoning has become so compatmentalized that the door from reason to self perception is locked.

re: What to do about Ken
That's really far-fetched.
One of my old friend (well not much of a friend now) got a mental problem from drug abuse and low-life style, and I can tell that there is a clear difference in his way of proceeding.
If Ken was under the influence of such a problem, there would be many mistakes and correlation errors in his posts, as well as emotional conflict.

Michael,
I find your response in regard to your first post as contradictive. maybe it is not. Either way I am not qualified to be debating about someones mental capacity.
one I am familiar with having experienced is an unnatural or induced in-balance of Serotonin: The prime cause for insomnia. Where as Ken has often spoke of not being able to sleep. If his Serotonin levels are effected they will bring on anxiety and the need or wish to keep the brain active. possibly by typing long letters.
There are drugs on the market that can control such behavior called Serotonin Re-uptake inhibitors. Please do not ask what that means, for I have know idea. All I do know is that I was taking them for three months before returning to what I hope is normal. I was a bitch to live with or be around in the meantime! And just as Ken is doing I drove away a lot of good friends.

You know, every one is talking to and about Ken as if he is quite oblivious to his own actions
First you agree that the talk of Ken is oblivious to his own actions, and then you question the degree of his awareness. Not unlike Autism the autistic can show great aptitudes in some actions but fail drastically in normal social behavior. I think we all agree that the brain is not fully understood, and induced environmental conditions may effect some organs or parts of the brain in different degrees.Ralph if Ken was poisoned to the degree that it affected his awarness wouldn't it show in his reasoning across the whole?

That is the end of this conversation for me. As I stated I am not qualified and feel that few actually are, to debate such an issue. There are many types of neurotransmitters, including norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin. Neurotransmitters can be excitatory (that is, they excite an electrochemical response in the dendrite receptors) or inhibitory (they block the response of the dendrite receptors).

Ralph, you described my symptoms, I don't sleep as well, and I need to keep my brain active and I am a lot anxious about stupidities.
Anyways, just to say I don't suffer from mental problems. ;]

Thanks for your input Jim but I think 1400 words per week is more than enough, and more than fair at this point.jim_mich wrote:I think 100 words per post is a little tight.
Ken can take it or leave it.

Note: Ken's response also made me consider revoking my offer to host his blog here, in addition to imposing a limit in the main forum. But then I considered again. For now, he can still start a blog here if he'd like.

I had always wanted to write books but just wasn't verbose enough. Maybe I need to ingest more mercury.
re: What to do about Ken
Ken, I would do the most honorable thing, I guess from how this thread has grown and some of the explicts expressed on this thread, it seems some people just want to see the back of you and if I was in your shoes, I would most probably delete all links relating to besslerwheel.com and never to return. let them keep their precious forum where the sun doesn't shine. Thats my feeling, if I was in your shoes.
re: What to do about Ken
I agree. This group has decided to attack Ken instead of offering a compromise.
Why?
What an insult to mankind.
I could see if the man had committed a crime.
However for writing and education,(which I for one received from Ken) I can not understand.

Scott
Do you really want everyone to agree with everything you say?
I mean come on what is the problem?
What is it that Ken did?
Is it really his long winded writing?
I agreed that he wrote to much and repeated his designs, but he also gave much to the forum.
Can you help me understand?
Sincerely
JB Wheeler

re: What to do about Ken
Saying that I did not offer Ken a compromise is just too much. Were you even paying attention? I bent over backwards to accommodate the man but he always refused to compromise.
You can disagree with me all you want, but stop baiting me with false accusations and smears.
You still owe me an apology for this and your previous episode.

Ok I apologize for this and my previous episode.
What I do not understand is that you set up rules for amount of post length.
This after the fact that you started this topic.
I will leave this topic in respect for your wish that I do not annoy you.
