As most of humanity suffers under tyrants, misled by the devil and his cohorts who've recently been thrown down here, nothing short of Yahshua, King of Kings, will remove these oppressors and bring everlasting peace.

Absolutely.....And much more so. Red vans, Black SUVs.....free candy, free energy.....even the faithless are not without faith of a kind, it seems.
Those gifted with the good sense to see that only Yahweh can fix the mess we're making of the world, hold a monopoly on neither ignorance.....nor hypocrisy.

Those who follow Christ's teachings are blameless....while hypocrisy slays it's hoardes.

Basic stuff really, unless you're some kind of fanatical religious zombi intent on forcing your personal death-cult brand of nazi voodoo gibberish down everyones throat...
Religion and Government Should Never Be Mixed
Religion offers humanity thousands of years of wisdom and morality with the supernatural carrot and stick for all. Democratic government protects citizens from the abuses of other governments and entities foreign and domestic. Both are excellent separately and are essential to human society today. Problems arise when they mix however.
Democracy ideally relies on elected bodies of power to create laws and govern the day-to-day affairs of the nation. Debate ensues and usually compromise is reached. Because these bodies are not unanimous and are not taking the cues from the same source generally a mutually beneficial and efficient solution is reached. Democracy in essence relies on compromise and debate of parties seeking the best interest of the nation.
The problem with church and government mixing usually means the issues begin to be defined not as fair or just, but as good and evil. Religion has a bad habit of making a black and white argument. Christians, Muslims and Jews see the world as a test and struggle to the souls of humanity for eternal reward to the believers and eternal punishment for the unbelievers. Hence compromise with those outside the group in power usually isn’t an option as they are not good or as good as the ones with religion. In essence, it is wrong to compromise with evil.
For example, allowing homosexuals to marry and claim legal rights and privileges that other couples enjoy. Sounds fine if one views marriage is just a contract honored by the government and the parties involved like any other. However apply the religious view of marriage being between a man and a woman and suddenly this is unacceptable. To those religions that find homosexuality is offensive this argument would not even be up for debate.
The same goes for women’s rights, or even the fact that women can hold property. Christianity interprets a woman as inherently flawed who redeems herself though childbirth. Genesis 3:16 for those who are wondering or “Women are subordinate to men because of the sin of Eve for which all women must be punished, 1 Timothy 2:14-15. With arguments like those in the holy book of Christians how could a society where church and state mix even begin to discuss much less implement equal rights for women.
While I am not against religious people participating in government we must remember the dangers of theocracy. This is not only to the government but also to the religions themselves. Often enough in historical Europe, churches became the pawns of governments to silence dissent and gather information; and eventually to subvert the church for the needs of the government. Even now in the Middle East, the Iranian government’s extremists use its Mosques as recruitment for terrorist camps and sacrifice its followers for political ends.

Stick enough labels on her and one can smother the world.
By now anyone with common sense and the guts to admit it, knows that higher intelligence exists in our cosmic neighborhood....and that more is needed to explain the miracle of life than fanatical faith in blind immaculate reverse entropy of ultra high order.
Having studied the Koran, the Babylonian Talmud, the Christian Bible, and other religious texts....
I'll take my chances with Christ who said such (how did you put it?) 'nazi death cult voodoo gibberish' things as:
'Return evil for evil to no man'
'Turn the other cheek'
'Love thy neighbor as thyself'
'I am the way the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but through me.'
Your logic is woefully bankrupt and therefore self serving.....the same reasoning applied to, appropriately enough, 'merry-go-rounds', would go something like this.
Your friend's Father buys him a merry-go-round. The neighborhood bully befriends him, hops on and then kicks you off into the dirt. Ipso facto, you now hate your friend, the bully and merry-go-rounds so much that anyone who enjoys them is now and forever a voodoo practicing nazi lover.
FWIW, I have no interest in human led theocracies, fact is, man is thoroughly demonstrating his incapacity to rule himself, and always ends up dominating his fellow man to his own injury and theirs. It's up to Yahweh and Yahshua to establish their kingdom on the earth. And they describe how they're going to do it.
We've all got front row seats to the event.
Well, those that aren't cowering under their seats or becoming instant converts to the 'nazi death cult craze' on that day.
You sir, don't have one good reason to hate Christ or his followers. If you studied His teachings, you'd have to face that fact.
Blessings in Yahshua,
TS

Since we're all on conspiracy theories and whatnot; Did anyone ever think that Kerry may have only been nominated because hes the only one Bush could beat? Could he have been a willing pawn in the presidential election? Seems to me that he gave up pretty easily, even though exit polls seemed to have him winning by a fairly comfortable margin.
Just something to think about :)

I wanted to throw this in being that... TS is getting alot of religious advertising here.
http://www.godisimaginary.com/ (50 simple proofs:)
I don't entirely support all the perspectives... I just ran across it yesterday.
I myself was raised have-@r5ed christian, Then became deist, atheist, gnostic and now that I have cross-referenced most biblical/philosophical/moral/ethical works... I am mostly distrustful of all accepted "truths"...
I currently reside somewhere north of "Philosophical Satanism"
Or Luciferian philosophy, wherein Satan is not believed to actually exist, but is seen as a sort of mascot for personal liberty. Satan is not viewed as a living entity. Much of the thought behind this particular belief system is in opposition to Judeo-Christian ideals that are seen as weak or ineffectual. In philosophical Satanism, the emphasis is on individuation, personal growth and human potential. There are no pacts, sacrifices, or criminal behaviors accepted or encouraged.
Or like I said above (I am now mostly distrustful of all accepted "truths"...)
trust no one, question everything kinda outlook...
One of the reasons I am here in this forum is because I believe O/U is possible despite "Accepted Truths".

The year is 2500AD. The worlds religion is Baha'i which believes all religions were sent "educators" from the same God, Jesus being the educator for Christianity, Buddha for Buddhism etc.
After these 500 years there is a new educator named Bessler. Unknown to the members of this board, history named this board as Disciples of Bessler. No one has proof that Bessler was ever correct, but no one could disprove him either. He developed quite a following. This resulted the now famous Energy Wars in which the US finally became a third world nation, with Bessler cults ruling the roost as we ran out of oil and natural gas. People still believed in an afterlife as well. No one could disprove it.

Anyone seen the South Park episode where Atheism becomes accepted in the future and there are three Atheist groups that fight each other over the "Great Question". Which is "What should the atheist groups call themselves."
Its great metaphorically, as most of the world's religions teach the same basic principals, yet people fight each other because their religion is called something else and has slightly different teachings.
Personally I'm agnostic, every single major religion out there has been corrupted in one way or another. The original prophets may have had good intentions, and most of the holy books have some great teachings, but I can't ignore thousands of years of "holy men" using and twisting it for their own power.
I think that if there is a God and He is just, then He would reward man by the content of his character in the afterlife, not by his devotion to performing rituals.

"God created man , Colonel Colt made them equal " !! ,,,, "He who beats his sword into a plowshare will be a slave to the one who does not" !! And i've heard that the Aussies are experiencing a rapid increase in crime since the confiscation of their weaponry ! Is that so "Boiler Bill" ??? If so then it would appear that "Colonel Colt" has much more authority & truth than God !!!
re: Republic? Democracy? Try......Hypocracy
I haven't noticed much change doc. Compared to the US I think AU citizens are generally a little less militant on the home front. Maybe we don't have as much to protect :D
