Evolution?

re: Evolution?
Isn't this a description of group Human Nature at work - including groups of science AND groups of religion devotees. Aren't new ideas (dissent) often met with ridicule and scorn in any group as a means of maintaining status quo and control? The above quote is equally valid where,overwhelmingevidence.com wrote:Evolutionists want to destroy those who dissent from Darwinism
So what's the point in claiming one without the other unless there's some political agenda at play? IMO, the people in both these camps only pretend to have open minds.Christians want to destroy those who dissent from Christianity
re: Evolution?
I usually do not get involved with religious debate, but this thread of religion verses evolution, has my attention. Especially where Bill speaks of an open mind.
Suggest you read the first page of Genesis, you will note that there was light on the first day, but separation of day and night as we know it, did not start until the end of fourth day! Yet he had already "Let the land burst forth with every sort of grass and seed-bearing plant" on the third day.
So why can not one with logic consider that we do not know how long the first Biblical days were and by todays calender consider that it could have been billions of years.
Is it asking to much to see a compromise of doubt between an evolutionist and a Bible thumper?
