You can be fairly sure "Dennis" will be in it...

Hi all, just found out the discovery special is not on tonight-Canada only?
BAH! Many people in the US are interested in this stuff as well, and the US discovery chan can give 1 hour of time away from its many repeats, no??
Could someone in Canada tape it for me? I'd really like to see it.
I am bummed!

Just watched the discovery channel program as mentioned. Lots of coverage on the guy from France with his big wheel, Newman, and the Norwegian artist with the PM rolling ball/pendulum. One of the first images is a computer with a screen shot of "Blueprint for Free Energy"! Unfortunately they did not mention Bessler much. Good commentary added by Keelynet guy Decker. Eric Krieg adds commentary in the role of the non-believing academic. They even have the conspiracy theorists well presented; all around a great program for free-energy fans.

The progam is by an Aussie team who approached me in July 2001 to interview me for their program. They were to arrive in the UK in August of that year but unfortunately I was away in the USA at the time and couldn't meet them. After the UK they were to go to France to interview the guy with the large wheel and I could have discussed much on the phone with them then, while they were in Paris, but I didn't get that email until I retturned. He said their budget would not be able to include the USA as well so we were unable to meet - darn it!

BTW, it's on again today at 5pm EST and tomorrow at 11am EST.
What a good show, Finsrud is on it and you get to see his machine in its entirety.

Michael, I'm really a non-auditory person so I really didn't listen to what they had to say but I can say that Finsrud mobile and the big wheel by Aldo (?) were a sight to behold. I thought that Eric's assessment of the big wheel was unfair because I didn't see him do any physical measurement of any sort (mind you he talked a lot but I just ignored whatever he had to say) and just simply concluded that it could be the wind or the sun shining harder on one side of the wheel that is making it turn. This wheel is five stories high and when I watched it rotate, it just boggled me as to how it worked. They showed some of the mechanics of it, totally mechanical, didn't require an initial push, used levers an rods to move weights to/from the centre of the wheel by what looked like about 4". I think they said that this thing weighed 2 tonnes but then again, I really wasn't listening.

I thought that wheel never worked?! I think I read it at the last page of the internet site, but I can't find the link to what I read.

UPDATE: 8-12-02
Mr Don Adsitt,
To be honest, and tell you the truth, it had became evident to me,
after I recently had corresponded with Aldo Costa personally,
that his actual 18 meters wheel is not a really 'perpetual' self running one as claimed.
Actually, It stalls after a while once it is launched.....
The reasons invocked are:
1) Calculations show it is not huge enough (the minimum diameter should be about 50 meters)
2) Mr Costa was not allowed to build such a giant one.
3) He is honestly convinced that he had demonstrated a working principle.
4) As a matter of fact previous smaller wheels did not even move.
I'm not talking about any scam or fake but in the present circumstances
I prefer giving up and not go in september to Mr Costa's place to see a not fullly working device.
Disclaimer: I reserve the right not to know what I'm talking about and not to mention this possibility in my posts. This disclaimer also applies to sentences I claim are quotes from anybody, including me.

Eric also said that ironically when he got there he had to spend many hours working on parts of the machine. Why the inventor didn't have it set up proper in the first place...???

Hmmm, I really must listen more carefully next time I watch one of these shows. Is any info on the Finsrud device disproving it?

Etjoe,
Any questions you want me to ask Eric? I wonder if he could also supply a tape...?
There is a thread I posted on this site quite a while ago in Eric's own writting on his encounter with the wheel. He also had pics posted up.

Michael
