I'm new to this group. Want to say hello and join in.

Recently purchased Mr. Collins' book about Bessler. I'm impressed with the research.

I have been building wheels for over 4 years now. I lost count as to how many different variations I have tried. Probably 20+

If I figure out how it is done I'm going to tell the whole damn world how.

No secrets!

What have I learned?
1. My craftsmanship sucks.
2. I'll bet every enthusiast is following the same path as every other enthusiast before him...and getting nowhere.
3. I have made wheels autorotate. but was not able to advance a design to the point that it continuously rotated. when the momentum of the initial push wore out--it stopped.
4. Ironically the most successful involved shifting weights the SMALLEST amount.
5. Getting a wheel to autorotate is ONE THING *HOWEVER* building a wheel that will DO WORK is another! Bessler's pumped water in one test and lifted about 70 pounds in another. This ability GOES FAR BEYOND simply making a device that will continuously rotate.
6. This leads me to believe Bessler's wheel was far more than it at first seems to be.
As in---a device shaped like a wheel but underneath that oil cloth or wooden drum is a mechanical device far different than anything in his sketches.
As in... (from a naysayer's board) What if his drawings are inaccurate? intentionally inaccurate?
As in... perhaps Bessler used 2 different types of weights inside his machine. ...TYPE A is the cylinder type that everyone supposes has a hole down the middle. This may be a simple stationary counterweight.
And TYPE B being round weights / ball shaped that spun, rolled and knocked about.
He said the pendulums weren't nessassary but what if they were? For TIMING purposes.
As in... THE AXLE intigues me. Perhaps it was a DOUBLE AXLE.
Or...A SPLIT AXLE. The axle didn't even go all the way through the machine, rather, the axle was in TWO PIECES the wheel was OPEN in the center.
These axle ideas are the ones which I will be concentrating on in my future designs.

Came to the idea of a double axle after a session of "thinking outside the box"

In this concept, the large outer axle is the output. The wooden outside of the wheel is attached to this.

But inside is a second axle with its own set of bearings. it remains more or less stationary. It supports the mechanism for restacking the weights that witnesses report hearing banging and crashing into the sides.

The sample weight that Bessler produced under a cloth for inspection could have been a counterbalance weight to help keep this floating assembly in position.

I about fell out of my chair when I recently came across the Apologia "and still you do not see" sketch--the arrows are pointing at the *axle.* It sure looks to me like he has drawn one axle inside another.

Good path you follow ..

I never thought of the apologia wheel pointing to the axle as an important fact until now ..

An axle into an other, for one thing, it might mean, when overbalanced, the wheel will offset on the axle.. Could this be an important fact?!

I also see you talk about timing, which is evolution in your way of thinking.. In my opinion ..

I share your intent to share with the world any idea that shows promise. Although I would start with sharing it with this forum first.
After all, it may be that little tweak, that little 1% that some other member may come up with that makes all the difference.
And then it will have been success through joint participation.

Remember, 1% of nothing is nothing - 1% of alot is alot

Sometimes I think its the only way.
