Discussion Board
I am a newbie to this site with a keen interest in the concept of a perpetual motion machine. Being untrained and uneducated in field has proven a benefit because I am not smart enough to say something will or will not work. I have found it interesting to view the comments of so many with a like interest. At some time I hope to be able to ‘come up to speed’ on where everyone is on the subject so that I can make comments regarding my experiences on the subject that may prove helpful. For now I will just listen in. Thank you for allowing me to join your discussions.

Queeze……… Welcome
Would/could you add your location to your profile?
That is called being open-mindedI am not smart enough to say something will or will not work

Welcome to the forum queezy!
I agree with evgwheel, your location, a little background and no fear of dropping your surname is always good for making a good impression here.
Makes it a lot easier to communicate if you have a little knowledge of who and small insight to their background experience you are communicating with.
If your choice is to only reveal yourself using the pseudonym
queezy Then IMO response and recognition will be somewhat inhibited.
I am impressed with your intro letter:
I also noted that you posted your letter in both General and community Buzz. This is not necessary, a registered member has access to both!

Most "newbies jump in with a design that they think is the "Holy Grail" and then argue and debate when they are told it is old stuff and will not work!At some time I hope to be able to ‘come up to speed’ on where everyone is on the subject so that I can make comments regarding my experiences on the subject that may prove helpful.

re: Discussion Board
Thank you for that welcome and advice. I have updated my profile with my name and location.
I have also logged on to the Discussion board for enthusiasts and have introduced my self there as well.
My first real post to that discussion board is re-printed as follows.
As I mention, I am most anxious to get reactions to some of my thoughts.
I have taken time to read many of the postings to this discussion. I observe that a lot of people seem to be trying to find a way to think like Bessler. The problem I see with this strategy is that what made Bessler unique is that he did not think like anyone else. He examined things as they were presented and then reached his own conclusions as to what, if any, implications should be derived from what he saw. I think that it is certainly worthwhile to read his writings and study his drawings but one should be careful how much weight is given to anything written or drawn by someone else, even Bessler himself.
I have no reason to think his wheel did not work. On the contrary, based on my own experiments, I believe that it is not only possible, but quite likely, that his wheel actually worked.
Some observations I have made:
A wheel is not a unique simple machine but actually little more than a continuous lever.
The amount of torque or rotational force transferred by an object to a rotating wheel is based not only on the weight of the object and the distance of the weight horizontally from the axis but also by the LENGTH OF TIME that the weight exerts its force upon the axle.
Any size weight located any distance from the axis of a wheel will exert the same identical rotational force upon a wheel if the weights are perpendicular to the axis.
The energy that it takes to raise a one pound weight one foot, except for the loss to friction, will move that same weight an infinite distance in a horizontal path.
If a weight is placed at the end of a spoke positioned radially to the axle of a wheel and the spoke was, in fact, a leaf spring, after the leaf spring reaches its maximum flex, the effect of the weight on the rotational force or torque applied to the wheel would be unaffected by the fact that the spoke is a spring.
If this leaf spring had a trigger mechanism that would not allow the spring to release its stored energy until, say it reached an horizontal position, this release could cause the weight to be thrown a substantial distance in a relatively short period of time.
I do not know if any of this is helpful to those of you who are much more advanced in the study of Bessler’s wheel. I pass it on because these are things that I have come to know during my observations. I am probably just singing to the choir!
I have made other observations but figure that this is enough for you to consider whether to accept me as someone genuinely interested in the subject with something to add or reject me as someone that should be considered a crackpot to be banned from the discussion.
I anxiously await your comments and verdict.

queezy,
Any one who thinks outside the box is considered by society (a flock of sheep) to be a crackpot. So unless you get way out of reason with your input , I would say you should find yourself right at home here!
Ralph
IMO, anyone believing or belong to this forum is considered a crank or crackpot. This forum is listed on crank.net and the Moderator claims to be proud of it!reject me as someone that should be considered a crackpot to be banned from the discussion.

At first quick glance, your post made a lot of sense. Not every one here is a blind follower of Bessler. Again welcome.I have made other observations but figure that this is enough for you to consider whether to accept me as someone genuinely interested in the subject with something to add or reject me as someone that should be considered a crackpot to be banned from the discussion. I anxiously await your comments and verdict.

re: Discussion Board
queezy,
please do me/us a favor, either post in General discussion or Community Buzz but not both. Their is no need to have the same thread topic in both.
Remember General Discussion is open to all unregistered guests while Community Buzz is for members only. This is where you post anything that you wish to keep within our ranks.

Hi Olin and welcome to the madness :D
re: Discussion Board
Wow, It would appear that I had beetter learn proper decorum and ettiquette for a chat room.
Now I am probably going to outlast my welcome on the first day.
I have this strange feeling that all knowledge comes from an external source. Call it God or Nature or whatever. A message is sent and it passes through all minds. Those minds that are tuned to the right frequency can actually receive the message being sent and perhaps interpret its meaning. This is my explanation as to how more than one person can come up with the same idea almost concurrently.
Now to really lose you. The following is a quoted passage from the book of Ezekial. Did he see Bessler's wheel? The spirit of the living creature could be a reference to gravity!! Of course, Ezekial may have just had too many poppy seeds in his loaf of bread!
15Now as I saw the living creatures, behold, one wheel on the earth beside the living creatures, for each of the four faces of it. 16The appearance of the wheels and their work was like a beryl: and they four had one likeness; and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel within a wheel. 17When they went, they went in their four directions: they didn’t turn when they went. 18As for their rims, they were high and dreadful; and they four had their rims full of eyes round about. 19When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. 20Wherever the spirit was to go, they went; there was the spirit to go: and the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. 21When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up beside them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

re: Discussion Board
The scary part is I AM quoting from the Holy Book. Ezekiel, Chapter 1. In some ways, his visions are scarier that John's visions in Revelations. I was not quoting it to hold myself up. In some of the experiments I have run it would appear that the vision of four wheels inside a large wheel and the four smaller wheels driving the large wheel is very close to describing some of the things I have come to accept as truth about perpetual motion machines..

Are you sure that is wasn't just an Alien that just stopped by asking for directions? LOL
"No" I do tend to agree that is one of the possible interpretations.
