I reckon someone was driving/flying in a car beside them. Maybe it was a Delorian... 4 wheels and all that! Back from/to the future!

Welcome queezy.

The references to Ezekiel are the subject of the book:

"The Spaceships of Ezekiel" by Josef F Blumrich.

IIRC he was a NASA engineer

The wheel that Ezekiel describes led Blumrich to apply for and get a patent for a wheel design.
The "eyes" were the shaped rollers.

Patent #3789947

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the various comments on my reference to Ezekial.

I would really be interested in hearing comments regarding the things I have learned and how any of this fits with what some of you may be doing regarding working models.

Olin,

Do not misunderstand me as I believe in the Bible but am not what you would call a "Bible thumper"... Your reference to Ezekiel has left a lot of people believe it is related to wheels, I do not see any connection to a gravity powered machine.

I am how ever a firm believer in Matthew 7:7 "keep on asking and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will open"

In short: the Bible says that man has been provided with what ever he needs. It comes as technology and at a time when man is in need and ready to accept it. When we ran out of whale oil, the light bulb was invented. When the use of horses became abundant, along came the automobile. As we run out of fossil fuel we will find new means to replace it.

Occasionally to remind myself I look at all the automobiles in driveways, shopping centers, new and used car lots as well as in the city's at rush hour. I ask myself where would we be if the auto had not been invented? Up to our eyeballs in horse manure or long gone due to methane gas.

The answer will be found when the time is right, not only by prophecy but by necessity.

It was meant to be a casual asside not taken so literally! I am very interested in hearing other's ideas and designs. Together we just might figure this thing out.

Olin,

Sorry if you took my statement to be "literal" I did not intend for it to sound that way. After re-reading it, I do see your point! Sorry about that.

Hey Olin....welcome to the madness.

I like the idea of a loaded type of "leaf" spring releasing on the descending side at just the right time....but, you will have to reload that spring and it's going to take energy to do it. Basically, if I am understanding you correctly...it will end up a sum zero deal. The amount of force it will take to reload the spring will eat up the gain. I can't see how to separate the two as to where you could take advantage of the gain from downward acceleration and spring force....unless you have a way to reload it separate from the axle or wheel....and then it attaches itself back.

I have a little test I did concerning CF using a lever portrayed in many of the MT drawings. I switched it from a solid connection and placed in a rotational spring and really increased the torque....but, what comes around....goes around.
