I'll be talking to Bessler tonight...Any questions you want answered?

Like many of you (I'm guessing), I have lost sleep over the Bessler puzzle. After years of trying, I really (REALLY) think I have this thing finally figured out. (I know, I know. We've all heard this before on this board. Maybe I will also become one of those posters who suddenly become quiet after making such a bold claim).

My latest theory is unique. I've not seen anything similar to its PM before. Everything (!) about it fits with the clues left by Bessler and witnesses to his wheel, right down to its purported simplicity.

My biggest problem now is that I have absolutely NO craftsman skills. Every attempt at building a device has been laughable (No, really. You should see my work! I wouldn't be surprised if I have already come up with Bessler's design, but my device was so poorly built, it didn't work).

I digress. Tonight I am going conjure the spirit of Bessler in my garage, next to the pool table and in front of my last attempt at a wheel. I will light a few candles (vanilla scented, I love those), drink a few Heinekens, then strap myself to my latest wheel and lean hard to the right. As I spin (unable to stop myself even if I wanted to), I will chant Bessel’s name until he appears before me in the form of a spirit.

What questions would you like me to ask him? Via previous communications with spirits, I have learned that ghosts can only give SINGLE WORD answers. Also, there is a limit of three questions. Which three would you want me to ask?

Given the quality of my wheel construction, its fair to say that I am risking my life here. Wish me luck.

I am very open minded about all subjects. I will use any path available that might help to build Bessler's wheel. When I was in the military I had a Cosmic clearance which is above Top Secret. I know things and have seen things that I am not allowed to discuss with anyone including my relatives.

Here are my three one word answer questions for you to ask Bessler’s spirit:

1. What is the total amount of separate weights used in his second wheel at Draschwitz?
2. Are the prime mover weights attached to Stork bills?
3. Do the prime mover weights move from the rim of the wheel to the axle compartments?

I think you've seen my thoughts on this, it is a very unique mechanism that minimizes L4W while maximizing leverage. My version is just a plain leveraged stork bill (like Bessler's game) with some strategically placed weight. It is intriguing that you mention principle of operation since i cannot think of another mechanism that shares with it. So I'm obviously convinced a well made stork bill (though I'm not one who knows about constructing them... yet) or two, acting near horizontally, are part of one cross beam.

Judging from the time span, my guess is that the person who was Bessler has had several lives since then.

Any other info about the person?

Wouldn't it be a hoot if he is a member of this board...and trying to figure out how he constructed his own wheel? Probably not even realizing that he once was bessler?
