Shocked to the core

Sorry this is off topic but I've been able to think of little else lately.

My heart goes out to the children and families of Beslan.

As horrified as I was on 9/11, I think this cut deeper with me because of the deliberate torture and murder of so many children. With two beautiful little girls of my own, the events in Beslan have shaken me to the core.

To the people of Beslan, we are so sorry that this unspeakable atrocity has befallen you. We are all grieving with you now.

shocked to the core cause they attack the very essence of innocence, the youth, they are not freedom fighters, and are not in a revolution, just failures, if any thing this should motivate people to apply themselfs more in every thing.

de centralise controll, independence, now even the people who think they can fight for peace, are going to new lows, what promise does the future hold for these type of terroist?

Scott, no right words to say what I would.
Inside all this cloud of emotions, reasons and justified motives there is a mandatory thing that is hard to recognize: HATE.
This is just one more event of the *tradition and culture of hate*! Easy stuff to be detected, IF ONE IS OUT OF IT!
Should be too much ask for love... just less hate, should be great!

This tragic event must strike a chord with every father or mother throughout the world. It has to be noted that there was widespread condemnation and disgust throughout the Muslim world, even from the radical militants. Targeting children is just a step too far. So much for trying to gain sympathy for your cause, now the whole world is against the Chechen Rebels.

I fear that this atrocity will give Putin a pardon for further violence. (or at least that is what he may think). Retaliation will only escalate the situation.

Violence begets violence.

It doesn't make sense. Islam teaches all children are born Moslems so to kill children is obviously against their faith. We hear 2 of the terrorists were blown up as examples so how much coersion was involved here?
Just doesn't make sense that they were Islamic "freedom fighters".
Wonder what they really are.
