I cannot imagine why nobody though on this before, including myself? It is so simple!...

Notice the action: shift to the periphery when going down, and shift towards the centre when going up.

The parametric pendulum (like the Botafumeiro in St-Jack-of-Compostella)
http://www.sciences.univ-nantes.fr/phys ... meiro.html
(You need to have the Java plugin active in your Web browser)
first click on 'stop'
then click on the botafumeiro and drag it somewhere
click on the 'manuel' button
click and drag the small rosa hand
The best effect is obtained when:
- releasing (shorting the cord) at the highest level
- pull (increasing the cord) at 6:00
It's exactly what the guy is doing with his knees.
I cannot imagine why nobody though on this before, including myself? It is so simple!...
