Could be, I also noticed some artifacting in the top of the video but it only is in the very beginning. The thing I noticed with the penguin is there is some back force when the weight is fully unwound, which shows in the penguins movement before it starts to turn the correct way to swing the weight again. I can't notice it with the first video though.
