Easy Choice
Faced with any issue, if you are a dem or repub, you only have 2 choices: do you want to ban it or regulate it?

re: Easy Choice
being a sovereign citizen of the americas with a libertarian point of view gives one many more points of view . not just the dem. or gop .
re: Easy Choice
I believe that as myself more are becoming independent of either of your choices.
Problem is: if the independents were to unite we would know longer be recognized as 'independent'...

Classic false dilemma?
re: Easy Choice
Nope. That's why I framed the question carefully.

Nope. That was another political statement not a question.

A happy child is disciplined and running wild :D
False dilemma hides agenda.

I assume you're referring to illicit drugs with this topic. If that's the case then neither Democrats or Republicans are correct in their presentation of the two choices you outline. According to the Constitution, so long as the distribution/sale of products of any kind (drugs included) take place on an entirely intrastate basis the federal government has no authority to regulate. It is however entirely within the rights of state governments to regulate all intrastate commerce.
So then the national debate over drug policy is null and void from the get go. It shouldn't even be a national issue...

No I'm referring to everything. If you survey a representative sample of dems and repubs together, there is no aspect of human activity which will not be controlled and/or banned by the majority of that group.erick wrote:I assume you're referring to illicit drugs with this topic

I don't know the last time they were invoked . but the fact remains the laws are on the books and CAN be invoked at any time they so desire !!! there is no aspect of human life that is not controlled by some rule of law . be carefull they got laws agin eatin pussy too .
Damian better be carefull ,,, them aussie boys are a funny bunch ,, what we call pussy they call lunch !!!

No, not really. Were these laws wrongfully thought up? Yes, long ago. And were they ever invoked they'd be immediately struck down by Federal courts on the grounds of being unconstitutional. It happens all of the time. People might try to "regulate ever aspect of human life" and they might even pass a law to try to but those laws will never stand in a court of law.
To claim that the government seeks to regulate every aspect of human life is ridiculous and can be demonstrably shown to not be true. It sounds like the whinings of a teenager who just got done reading 1984 for the first time...
