Pathfinder

thanks for that post

two thoughts come to mind...the frequency of spent photon absorbtion creating an " element" (forgive the pun) of heat causing a curvature of the wires...?

...secondly "Pillow effect" like water in the river flowing straight and then upon hitting the (rock) pillowing out...the comparative here would be Zero mass Photon pillowing out as absorbtion was slowed (also frequency) at the denser earth core...?

Interestingly this opens the possibilty that gravity does not exist...rather the holding , stiking, force is actually inertial Zero mass energy...

Dear Richard,
If you accept my theory on the absence of gravitation...
(see here the controversial post (Triplock was outraged)
http://www.besslerwheel.com/forum/viewt ... 3905#73905)

...there is another explanation for this phenomenon:
As deeper and deeper you go down along the wire, the expansion of the matter is lower, creating an internal force where the result forces the both ends to spread from the central axis. Just a suggestion. Who knows?

If the earth is expanding (see previous posts), then perhaps there is an expanding force inside the earth.

Well Pathfinder...

There are more than a few heresies that I also consider to be well within the range of possibility and certainly worth keeping an open mind about as well.

One of the most intriguing of those is the theory of the eminent geologist Warren Carey and some others that the Universe isn't simply expanding at an antomic level but that it is actually physcally and tangibly growing.

The artist Neil Adams has picked up the banner on that and presents a very convincing arguement based on our own planet's somewhat glaring and obvious evidence of it as well as demonstrating that the moon and other planets seem to show the very same thing.

Naturally this also raises some questions about our understanding of gravity.

Perhaps another test is in order...? something simple like a Galileo test....

It would be great if they would go back and drob a "Stealthy" bob on string instead of wire into the shaft:-)

What happens to a laser pair beamed down the shaft?

The mine shafts are no longer accessible. Most of the Michigan copper mines closed about 100 years ago. Most or all of the mine shafts are now full of water. The White Pine mine, the last major copper mine in Michigan, shut down in 1995.

There used to be a mine hoist building open for tourists in Hancock, Michigan on the Keweenaw Peninsula. It might still be there. I saw it about 20 years ago. It was full of water.

From 1845 to 1865, the Keweenaw Peninsula mines accounted for three-fourths of America's copper production. Keweenaw copper was so pure that a piece brought out of a mine could be formed into pots and pans without smelting or refining.

an interesting explanation of the gravity in relation with the universe in expansion (the earth also):
