John Collins wrote:Sorry Damian, I did see it, but I was so busy trying to make a quick video and also update the last page of the website, that I overlooked what you were suggesting. Yes that could be done and in fact although mine tend to clash it could be built better and work as an overlap.

More work to do, but thanks for the suggestion. I'm really glad I put up my thoughts now on the web site because I've had so much feedback both here and privately that I have a whole new view on the mechanism and I think I was way too close to it and with not discussing it with anyone I think I got locked into a sort of loop!

Thanks Jon - sound advice. Thanks to too you Trevor.

John,

Did you have a chance to read my post that explains the results and the request of images?

John, I missed something from the clues I remember to read anywhere. Your design doesn't have anything of it. Where is the 'central upper weight' for controlling all the other weights maintaining their motion? What about the housing where the mystical inner structure are enclosed? I really remembering on that clues - or was that something self-interpreted from one of your books?

for as deluded as I find people who keep secrets and how critical I can be of them, I would like to say if you don't like this design then get out of the conversation if you can't keep your focus on the mechanism. Stop criticizing John for putting his pearls on the table. Even if it did take him a year, he has a clever idea, still believes it should work, but threw it out here in front of the peanut gallery instead of waddling in his own delusional self-importance for another year. 3 cheers for John. This idea may well wind up in the stack of unworkable devices, but at least he's not insane, and I'm still having fun processing the "pumping" action, the forces at work, and the potential of the motions. All-in-all I give it a much above average in its chances of having promise. Which really isn't saying much. Again, 3 cheers to you John, you are a true scientist.

John,

I think your design needs a "hard" point somewhere to push against. Hate to sound like Wagner, but somehow Bessler was able to do that with everything going around.

You know what Joshua? I don't know what it is you want. I've given you four images of the weights moving; I am uploading a video, What more can I do for you? Don't answer that!

Two posts in a row from LIB which are nothing but ad hominem attacks... How typical.

As far as jonnynet's dumb post:
Stop criticizing John for putting his pearls on the table. Even if it did take him a year, he has a clever idea, still believes it should work, but threw it out here in front of the peanut gallery instead of waddling in his own delusional self-importance for another year. 3 cheers for John.
Nobody is criticising John for revealing his solution, they are criticising him for saying he had one, for so long, and then it turning out to not be very impressive.

In seven months you couldn't learn how to use simulator software and produce an animation? Or rather, in seven YEARS, or however long you have been interested in Bessler's wheel, you thought it would be quicker and easier to keep building physical models, which don't work, and take a hundred times as long to produce as a computer model?

This forum is full of delusional 'believers' who WANT somebody to have 'the answer', to the detriment of their own rationality. (LustinBlack, for example... he gets very tetchy when anybody refuses to BELIEVE...)

I've posted a short video of the mechanism moving. There is a link to it at the bottom of the page at

Your temper is indeed irrelevant. I was trying to help. You are being disrespectful. Do not ask the public questions if you are not going to accept them!

Its not my temper that's irrelevant Joshua, its your question that is obscure. Can you elucidate?

Thanks for the video, John. The first thing I've noticed is that the shifter weight moves more to the left than the primary weight is rising, which is not what you wanted right?

I do not need it now John. I did it the hard way by capturing images from the video. To the results, the center of weights do not go up. They slide horizontal to the left. If the counterweights are the same on the other end, this means the wheel will stop half way up. If you simply move the weights to the right the same units it shifted to the left, the center of weights are back to where it started which achieves nothing.

Your saying each weight is the same, correct? If that is true, I see an awful a lot of energy in those weights when they move (probably caused by the weight of the rods). That means you can add a tiny bit more mass to the bottom weight to lift. Pretend the rods are weightless and all that energy happens giving the ability to lift additional weight, what do you achieve? But because the rods are weights by tiny numbers, they take role into the overall mechanism.

Try yourself and see the maximum amount of additional weight you can lift at the bottom at certain points. If you can do more than the weight of the rods, then you got yourself a PM machine.
