Wiki Issues

I greatly appreciate it but it's not ok with me. There must be a better way even if I have to write the php code myself. To be honest though I probably won't get around to it for a while. In the meantime you are master of your own destiny and all your help is greatly appreciated.

OK I have made Jim, Fletcher, Ovvyus, and Rasselas sysops of the wiki, meaning they each have almost admin privileges.

If you want a wiki account, you must contact me or one of the sysops above by private correspondence. If we accept you, we will create your account.

This system is by no means perfect but I think it's the best we can do for now.

I do not know if I am supposed to be able to log in and edit or not, but for what it's worth I can. I do not have delete privilage.

I've cleaned out most all of the spam except between letters B thru G. I'll tackle them during the next few days. The only way to sort the spam from the legitimate entries is to open and read each entry. Since much of the spam is/was the same thing repeated the sorting goes quickly.

I already have a wiki account as you know and have never lost the ability to add/edit it. The only problem I encounter is an error message when editing, but the edit still gets applied so it's not a major problem. I know you're already aware of this error. I don't have delete privilege, but if you could give it to me I'll help Jim with the spam, as I offered to do a few months ago.

Wow Jim, that is wonderful, thanks so much.

In other news I used a heavy hammer and deleted all the user accounts after the first 31. This means I deleted 3142 users. As far as I could tell they were mostly if not all spam accounts. If you're a real person and I accidentally deleted your account please contact me or a sysop to create it again.

At this point I think the wiki is back up and running. Thanks everyone! (especially Jim)
