Bill,

Im sorry to dismiss your statement, you must not be familliar with "real cold" I live in Edmonton Alberta where -30 celcius is not uncommon. I assure you that boiling water wont turn to snow when thrown.

I have actually worked outside in minus 52 celcius, and I can say that when you spit, it freezes before it hits the ground.

Dear nneba,
above you wrote:the prime mover is going to be the equivilant of one degree of rotation, nothing more. The finest of detail will have to be observed in order to harness the one degree, that one degree is all it should take to reset the motion.

The value of the shifting angle is an important question, I have unfortunately encountered in my own experiments.
For a quick start (aka for a strong torque enough) the angle shall be within a significant value (may be about 22,5 grades).
But with the increase of the speed this value creates a big amount of shocks able to destruct quickly the frame.
Therefore a very small angle (one grade, why not) is needed for a significant rotation speed.
So far the best design is this one starting with a big angle and reducing the angle more and more the speed increases.
This has also the benefit to limit the speed when the angle decrease to zero, and better, negative when reversed at a certain speed maximum value (like for the 'Watt governor')
I cannot imagine why nobody though on this before, including myself? It is so simple!...

Another law of perpeual motion could be , when an apple falls off a tree , it falls upwards into the sky .

The law of perpetual motion.

Ye shall seek, but ye shall not find "equilibrium".

Take for example MT 12 , that should nearly work , anticlockwise , where the weights fall upwards in the wheel . In accordance with my laws of perpetual motion .

I must admit that there are several MT diagrams that I have to look at
real hard to try and figure out which way they are supposed to turn.

But for MT 12, anticlockwise would not be my first guess.

Perhaps we have just found another "law" of perpetual motion.

maybe it just doesn't matter. It probably won't work anyway."

I have looked into some of the free energy electric motors and apparently the laws go into reverse on them , so instead of taking energy in they output energy . So therefore if you reverse what does'nt work on a gravity wheel , would it work !

Another candidate for a law of perpetual motion:

Nothing is Impossible

or conversely

Everything is Possible

Not necessarily a law, but the first objective description of perpetual motion is man seeking perpetual motion.

The second is to find two to three people you can collaborate with giving each other full trust. Of course it helps if they are ardent members with skills and resources to carry their own weight.

My law is the 'P's'; first is be Prevaricating (stray away from or avoid truth) followed with Patience, Persistence, Perseverance, and Prudence. If these are adhered to the answer will ultimately Prevail and become Prevalent.

The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important. So when it comes to a perpetual gravity wheel, hang in there!!!!!!

The Law that guarantees Perpetual Motion is F = ma. Or Newton's Three Laws of Motion.

The greatest amount of work which can be obtained from a given quantity of a certain substance in a given initial state, without increasing its total volume or allowing heat to pass to or from external bodies, except such as at the close of the processes are left in their initial condition.

seriously, the laws of perpetual motion should be the methods by which the weights are arranged in order to not stop.two of them, according to Bessler are:1) weights must not be allowed to reach their resting point.2)weights must be arranged so that their direction of swing is always preceded by their point of attachment. To me this means: if the range of motion is going to be reached inevitably then the point of attachment should compensate by reversing it's direction before the weight does or design should allow the range of motion should never be reached.to me this inspires images of weights hanging like a kite tail in the wind, relatively still compared to their point of attachment.

This statement is really thought provoking. I like it and I am curious to know where it comes from. You state that it is something Bessler stated. If so, please refer to the specific document and page.

I have recently found that a pendulum mounted on a wheel is most readily effected (its swing increased) if its attach point travels least i.e. its attach point is nearer the axis. This configuration allows for
"their direction of swing (to) always (be) preceded by their point of attachment."
I don't know that what you say constitutes a law of perpetual motion but I bet it could be boiled down to a sentence that defines what you are saying.

Perhaps something to the effect:

-Mass constrained in a manner such that it can not achieve stasis.-

I retract that last law. It would only apply to a cyclical device where mass is constrained.

By definition the primary Law of Perpetual Motion is:

Mass that can not achieve stasis.

or further refined:

Mass inclined to continuous motion.
