Spam Solution?

I don't know, Scott, I'm thinking you just lit a fuse for yourself. Once the whiners get wind of it, you're going to be one busy dude.Scott wrote:I have added a button on the top right of every post to make it easy for people to send me a report about spam or abusive posts.
May be JMHO, but might it be better to limit that prerogative to a few hand-selected volunteers?
And I'll echo Alan's sentiment, I also appreciate all that you do to keep this Board up and running, along with your efforts to make improvements from time to time. Thank you.

Thanks Alan and Mark, I appreciate your concern. In fact I have a way to turn off the feature for individual users if I believe they are not using it in good faith.

The good news is: the two changes I made seem to be working really well. A couple people have reported spam posts to me that I probably would have missed otherwise, and now I routinely reject and delete new users with links in their signatures before they are even activated. The good guys win again! :-)

re: Spam Solution?
Many thanks again Scott for your efforts.
I cannot imagine why nobody though on this before, including myself? It is so simple!...
