re: computer questions for dummy's
Dear Ralph,
Take care. May be some troll of this forum trying to remotely install an undetectable keylogger. See here:

An excellent reason do not surf on Internet in any Cybercafé and any airport WiFi spot.

I cannot imagine why nobody though on this before, including myself? It is so simple!...
re: computer questions for dummy's
I wish to thank all who replied to my key board dilemma.
I disassembled it only to find that it is of a spill proof design with each key being installed in a moisture proof pedestal. I Blew it out with compressed air, visual checked key switches and printed circuit board all to no avail.
Hewlett Packard (HP) does not have a reputation for good technical representation and I could not find a driver update without paying the price of a new keyboard.
I finally gave up and purchased a new wireless which has a similar key lay out as my old one. This is not working out to my liking either. I have a metal pencil drawer mounted underneath my keyboard tray which is blocking the signal to the USB antenna. Works great if I set the keyboard on my lap!

Hello Gordy! Long time no hear!
Appreciate the link to ebay, but the layout of that keyboard is not what I was looking for.
After my last entry I received a PM with a link to an exact duplicate of my original, choice of new or refurbished.
http://www.plccenter.com/Shop/HEWLETT%2 ... leShopping
I will order it, just as soon as my wife's temper cools from buying two boards and now going for a third!

Any one here familiar with; Google Sketchup [sketchupdate@google.com]
Wondering if this would make for a good beginners app for drawing?
comments appreciated,
Ralph

Yes.
And .. Yes..
Why? Because there are a ton of plugins and tutorials about the app, you can't lose.

I hope someone will be able to help me help someone else!
A pure Spanish talking member from another energy group is needing some animations for 2D designs.
If a picture worth 1000 words and since he's a bit clever in translators, the communication will be not so hard. If needed I can easily send a support.
He's also planing to publish a book.
I still don't know his work.
Can someone help, please?
Thanks a lot!

Due to ever increasing land line phone bills I have been searching for an alternative system using 'Stand Alone' DSL high speed service'
To achieve this I have been looking at the following options and wondering which is the best route.
Magic Jack
Talk.net
Vonage World International
I am looking for feed back and opinions before making my choice. At present Vonage World International is looking more appealing, it allows me to retain my existing land line #

I recently received three animated videos from a former member that I found impressive. They were done on an application called 'Blender' and open with MS Media-player, which you can put in cycle mode and speed up or slow down the frame time. There is no need for a third party such as YouTube.
'Blender' is a free source download @ http://www.google.com/search?q=blender+ ... =firefox-a
A great application for private collaboration between members.
If you are familiar with this application, feed back is desired.
