Documentary about Bessler - Orffyreus

I've been invited to Rome to take part in documentary for Italian TV about Bessler. RAI 2 sell their documentaries to 76 countries and use dubbing and subtitles to attract the widest audience, including Africa, China and the Americas, so I'm hoping at last that the story of Bessler will become more mainstream and attract new researchers to our cause - and perhaps the solution will be found.

I am flying out today and will be back on Thursday. It's somewhat ironic that I, an English speaking person who published a book about a German am being invited to contribute to an Italian documentary!

They've given me the questions already and I am well prepared, but its still a bit scary. BUt hopefully with judicious editing I won't look a complete banana!

Just remember that television is a "cool medium" as Marshall McLuhan so rightly pointed out and it's as important to stay just as cool and collected in front of that camera as it is to be excited and enthusiastic behind the mike on any radio program instead, (which is a "hot medium" as he called it) if you want to carry the day and win people over.

So best of luck, have a safe journey, and don't forget to take in as many of the sights Rome always has to offer as you can.

And no it's not so ironic consdering that the Romans invaded, lived in and ruled Britain for many long centuries. Everthing and everyone is all connected on one very long and winding road... if you're willing to do the foot-work to find it. LOL

I'm sure you'll do a great job. Please however keep the focus on Bessler and not on other non Bessler pseudo science ideas. These will detract from your credibility. You are an expert in the Bessler field and should only discuss Bessler technology etc.

If you need any Italian to be translated, just let me know as I am fluent.

Thanks for the advice guys, duly noted. Keep cool, focus on Bessler, avoid pseudoscience, don't mention antigravity! Who knows Murilo, it could happen.

I'm hoping for a chance to look around but it's not looking very likely. All day travelling today with one flight transfer and the same on Thursday which just leaves after shooting tomorrow.

Rai 2 is one of the three main television channels broadcast by Italian public television company RAI alongside with Rai 1 and Rai 3. Rai 2 first started transmissions on November 4, 1961. In the eighties it was known for its political affiliation to the Italian Socialist Party; in recent years it shifted its focus toward talk shows, reality television and infotainment.

Careful and don't let yourself get drawn into a talk show where the host does his best to devalue your input. Stand firm and speak only historical objective facts that he cannot dispute to increase his popularity with his audience as most talk show hosts do. It's all in attempting to raise ratings and popularity for the show and the host.

I've just returned from a day's filming and I'm completely knackered, and I've lost my voice!

They have already filmed the story with actors in period costume and it looks great! They have built a wheel and it is driven by an old washing machine motor - no I didn't knowe they had washing machines 300 years ago either! Seriously it looks really good and they have to finish it by December 31st so it shouldn't be too long before its aired - and they're going to send me a copy of the finished article once it's ready.

I fly home tomorrow and I'll post some pics on my blog later this week.

A use i thought of a while ago for the bessler wheel was as a washing machine , put a drum on the wheel and wash clothes in it .

Yes, Michael, RAI 2 commissioned it, but they were sold it first, as an idea.

They don't show eccentricaly, its just there to make it spin.
